Up in Woodstock, NY and heard an advertisement for Smoke Assassin (dot com)

I am a little concerned. I don't know if this thread belongs here, but I am curious what we can do to better inform people and not fall into the traps of such companies who seem much more interested in their profit margins.

Some points...

  • Isn't this just a repackaged Health-E cig that can be found for $12 on dealextreme.com and has horrible reviews and talks of safety concerns?
  • They are marketing the carts as having no nicotine but the ingredients on the home page list other things I am not even familiar with....
  • The marketing is somewhat deceptive and false
  • A call to their ordering line with questions led to the girl telling us to visit the website, and hanging up on us. We were just asking about the free trial promotion they advertised. The website says to call!
I guess one of the better reasons to have the FDA regulate these to some degree is because, as with anything unregulated, there is always a question of quality and safety. With schmucks like these out there blatantly trying to rip people off and using an inferior product, it will hurt the reputation as a whole, would it not?

In any case I am referring people to some more established starter packs from reputable sources. I'd just love to know if there is anything more I can do?

Someone that i know (before i knew they were doing it ) went ahead and called, got the RN4081 << I think this is the one, comes in a paper analog type package , very small ecig and a usb adapter . He was somewhat content other then not really getting what he wanted from the ecig, so i turned him on to a 510 kit, he was to say the least, in utter shock at the difference.

I'm not knockin them, but rather inferior , and did not allow him to put the analogs down. And rather expensive to say the least.

As with anything else, demanded by the public , you'll get many different types, and qualities, nothing new , and regulation will not change that.
