I have been a smoker for over 42 years. 23 days ago my daughter sent me a starter kit (ego ce 4). That day was the last time I smoked a ciggy. I have tried patches, gum and others, but none of them worked. But my vp does. But I am still learning here. Stupid me, I thought that since I smoked ultra lights I only needed a low nicotine. WRONG lol I went though a crazy time. then my son told me I need a higher nicotine level, He was right, I feel so much better now. But now I am flavor crazy.:p I am glad That I found this forum. Now I don't feel so alone dealing with this.:thumbs:

I know just how you feel, its like a freedom that you didn't even know you didn't have.

I just celebrated my 1st month smoke free yesterday,.
I have tryed off and on for years to quit but failed miserably each time,
but this time I was ready, and had a reason ( recent heart disese diagnosis ) and it worked
I feel better then I have in years even with the heart problem ( 3 stents and meds made a big difference also

It makes me so happy to hear when someone else kick those nasty smelling things as well

Congrats and vape on my friend it only gets better, that I'm sure of.

Love reading stuff like this!

I'm a newbie, too, and a vaporizer has been the one thing where I finally was able to say, "yep, don't need a cig!"

I'm really glad to have found this forum, also. I generally lurk on sites like this, but I've found this place to be so informative and friendly and active that it seemed silly not to sign up and participate. Congrats on 23 days!

I smoked as long, or longer, as you did and was also under the misconception that I needed a lower nicotine level. It was my husband that told me about a "new" kind of ecig he saw somebody at work with after I failed with a cig-alike and man, am I glad he did. I didn't have the easy switch you did, took me about five months, but so glad I kept with it. After smoking cigarettes for sooo long, doesn't it boggle your mind to honestly say, "No, I am not a smoker"? Almost six months without a cigarette and I still have to pinch myself. Congratulations on quitting and continued success! :)

Welcome to ECF! And, congratulations on the 23 days!

I smoked for over 37 years and have been a non-smoker for 2 and a half years now, thanks to vaping. I had given up and was sure that I would die an agonizing death from emphysema. I just kept pushing that image back and hoping I would be one of the lucky ones.

Then I discovered vaping. I guess I WAS one of the lucky ones after all!

Free at last!
