LOL I consider myself lucky and blessed to be able to do these things for her....after all she is my soulmate
LOVE your "Little Angel" sig

Lol thanks my son came up with me putting that because now that I don't smoke he says I'm a little angel and my husband always calls me angel. It's funny how he never says dear or sweetie or honey he always calls me love or angel. I know I feel very blessed and lucky to have a man like him. He supports everything I do and takes very good care of me.

It's funny I just got through talking to my husband about this and he said that even though I feel like I vape more than I ever smoked I actually am not. He said that he's noticed I don't use it nearly as much as I smoked and I put it down and walk away from it. He says I also fiddle with it and play with it more than I actually vape on it. I didn't think he paid much attention but apparently he's paid way more attention than I thought. I rarely put it down cause I'm always playing with it but I don't actually take a toot as often as I thought. Oh well, guess that's a good thing to know. I'm getting enough nic and I have a toy LOL

My fiance said something similar to me last night as we were driving to the store.
She noticed that with the Ecig I don't use it any where as much as a analog. Analogs I would go out and smoke half to a full one. With the ecig she has seen me take a few hits at a time and put it down. Like I just use it for a few hits to sedate the need and stop till I need/want it again.

Cigarettes deliver nicotine to your lungs through smoke particles, which are tiny bits of the products of combustion that even pass through a filter. Your lungs suck these into the air sacs (alveoli) and they are difficult for your lungs to expel. Vapor droplets are larger than smoke particles and don't enter the air sacs, so you don't absorb as much nicotine.

Most of the nic you absorb is through mucous membranes in your mouth and sinus cavities. You can get just as much nicotine by holding the vapor in your mouth and then inhaling it through your nose while blowing it lightly out of your mouth (french inhale). You can also absorb more by exhaling slowly through your nose after inhaling into your lungs.

If you feel you are vaping too much, then park your PV in a central location and make yourself get up and go to it. Vape and then leave it there until you next urge. Chances are, unless you are feeling dizzy and lightheaded, you aren't getting any more (and probably less) than you got from cigs.

I think everyone that starts does the same. More so if you didn't smoke in your house. It's nice to not have to go outside to get your fix.:vapor:

THIS ^^^ my wife is very concerned because she is afraid that I will vape while watching TV, vape while playing on my PC, Vape while playing with the dog, vape while working at work... etc etc

I keep saying as long as my lungs get clearer, and I feel better...so what if Im taking in nic all day. Heck how many people do you know drink coffee all day. Caffine is probably worse for you then nicotine (just IMHO..no science to back that up).

I haven't read all of the above responses but wanted to tell you that it's perfectly normal to vape more than you smoked. One of the reasons that we naturally do this (besides the fact that we can now vape 'indoors') is that vaping delivers nicotine to your bloodstream at a slower rate than analogs. With analogs, the nicotine is mainly absorbed in the lungs, which is quickly diverted to the bloodstream whereas with vaping, the nicotine is mainly absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth and nose and therefore, takes longer to reach the bloodstream.

Smoking an analog will often give you an immediate 'hit' of nicotine ('bolus' dose) whereas with vaping, we tend to vape more in order to maintain a therapeutic level of nicotine in our bloodstreams. Sort of the same concept as the nicotine patch which is designed to deliver a constant (lower) dose of nicotine, through the skin.

I have realized now that I can literally vape just about anywhere I am doing so much more than I ever smoked analogs. It feels as if I have my PV in hand at all times while I am awake. I don't know if my nicotine addiction is getting worse now or if I am just so excited to be able to vape like crazy, but I cant put it down.
I know that inhaling smoke is incredibly unhealthy but I cant imagine that sucking down so much nicotine fog is all that good for me either.

For you more experienced vapers, does this lust to vape lessen at all with time? I would love to hear some feedback or possibly some methods for curbing my uncontrollable need to vape all day.

I get what you're going through! My pv was glued to my face for a month before the novelty of it wore off. It helped not to look at my pv so much, I found that the less I admired my pv the less I wanted to pick it up and puff on it.

I read an article somewhere about how a majority of the 4000+/- chemicals that are in analogs, are their to help the nicotine delivery of analogs become faster and far more efficient (a catalyst for the nicotine). So when first switching to vaping, it would take significantly more vapor to reach the desired amount of nicotine intake. The article didn't talk about vaping, thats just my take on the situation in the begining. Also, Now that I've been vaping for a year, I've personally just found vaping FAR more enjoyable then smoking. No cigarette ever tasted like frozen lime drop or gooey butter cake!

Thats very interesting actually, after 1 year, whats the most important differences that you'd noticed on your health ? Did you notice anything at all?

People used to say that they breath better, dont cough anymore etc etc... The frequency you're vaping is equal/less/higher than when you started?

That would be a great feedback for all of us I think.

This is what I have been suspecting and definitely consistent with my experience. I'm not sure that I vape more than I smoked, since I only take a puff or two at a time, but I do vape more frequently, and not just because I can. I find that if I go too long between vapes, the cig cravings get really bad and are slow to go away even with vaping. If I vape fairly consistently, I don't even think about the stinkies.

I definitely vape more than I skoked. I would have to go outside to smoke and I kept it to at least 1 hr between cigs. Now I have 5 PVs and one of them is useually in my hand. I will set them down for about 15 or so minutes but will pick them up again soon after that. I am over 100 days without an analog and I can fell the differnce in my health. Hell before quiting analogs I would climb 1 flight of stairs in my house and would be puffing like the little engine that could. 2 weeks after quiting I was in my basement waiting for the grandkids to get up so I could make pancakes and when I heard them get up I climbed both flights of stairs and when I got to the top I suddenly realized "hay I can breath????"

I've been vaping for 16 months so I'll give my answers to your questions. Importances would be: no coughing, walk on treadmill for 4 miles without being winded, sleep better at night and I actually feel rested, my teeth and nails turned white again. As for frequency of vaping, I vape just as much as I did when I started, but only at half the strength now. I'm down to 18mg and vape 6-7mls a day.
