Success! Yes, Boise people, please show up to the hearing.

This victory means a lot, as every city / county councilperson across the U.S. has probably heard of Boise, Idaho, whereas few people know Delaware County, Indiana or Alexandria, Louisiana.

On the 29th the Boise City Council will also be discussing (but not taking public comments) on a proposal to ban tobacco use in taxi cabs by both passengers and drivers. I'd greatly appreciate it if one of you Boise folks could stick around after the meeting and tell the City Council members that e-cigarettes, snus, and dissolvables are all spit-free tobacco products, and banning them contributes nothing to the goal of having clean, odor-free cabs.

Posted to ANR's Facebook wall story from earlier today about the Boise ban

Congrats to ANR members in and around Boise: The Boise City Council passed both smoking bans tonight.

The ordinances specifically exempt the use of electronic cigarettes from the definition of "smoking." Boise joins several other communities in the U.S. that have amended proposed smoke-free ordinances to remove e-cigarettes before passage.

Hi Placebo, Yes Front and Center!! :)
Those Vapers that I am aware of where myself, Hexwench, Boisemike, Paul and Lauren. There may have been others, but if so I am not aware of them. I spoke with Mr. Thomson, and Mr. Parks and both congratulated us for our efforts and success. Also had 2 news crews interview a couple of us about our reactions to the vote! Not much was said on Vaping it went quietly through under the definition of smoking instead of a direct statement in the ordinance. But it is in black and white in the details, so I will consider this a win for the Vaping community!
