I was sent a kit for review from Smokeless Delite. The purpose of this review is to review their USA mad cartridges. Even though I received this free of charge, it will in no way taint my judgement of the product.

For review, I received:

1 - 510 auto battery
1 - Joye branded 510 Wall Charger
1 - Brass converter
5 - USA made high strength cigarette flavored cartridges

I will be rating the following: Design, Vapor Production, Throat hit, and Flavor

Design: These cartridges are not quite 808 threaded, and I'm not entirely sure what thread size they are. They do not fit natively on a 510 or 808. This is why the converter was included. They are soft capped and have lots of filling. Internally, they look just like any regular cartomizer. The filling does look nicer than some cartomizers I have used. At this point, I have not refilled any, so I cannot speak as to how they refill. I should update this post in a few days.

Vapor Production: Great! They give off a nice warm vapor, and plenty of it:

Link to Video of the vapor production

Throat Hit: Not too bad. They are 24mg cartomizers, so this could be part of it, but they definitely do the trick. Nothing over the top, but a mild smooth hit that you notice, but don't choke on.

Flavor: These are supposed to be cigarette flavored, and I get that. The first few puffs, I really didn't care for the taste. While I am still not a big fan, I do get the tobacco flavor. It's a smooth one, and not harsh or overbearing. If these were regular cigarettes, they would be some of the better ones I had ever smoked. Would they have been enough to replace my Camel Turkish Royales that I was so fond of? Probably not, as I like a slightly sweeter tobacco, but the taste is not bad.

Final thoughts: These cartridges are very well made. They really do the trick, and are better than some of the other cheap cartomizers that I have used. As for the big issue I have with them, the vapor that is exhaled is quite pungent. My roommate and I both noticed it right away. It is most likely the juice and not the cartridges. Everything else about them is on-par with smoking analogs, but that odor they give off would be a dealbreaker for me. I can think of no other way to describe the smell than "cat urine". Which is unfortunate, because I really wanted to like them, as everything else is exactly what I would look for in a starter kit for a new vaper.

basil, i'm pretty sure those are rn4081, and yes those cartridges are better imo than the 808s, the ones i got from trueman refilled easily and one lasted 11 days.
not sure though if those you got are really u.s. made, maybe filled over here?

I was told they were USA made. I believe that's the claim on the website as well.

that was the claim of smokestiks as well until they were pressured for more info and then backtracked to say that the kits are assembled in the u.s. with the parts coming from china, lol

I did try the smokeless delite package. Everything in the review was spot on. The vapor produced was awesome. I was very suprised at how much came out for an auto battery. The sensitivity of the auto battery should also be something of note too. I really really had to try to get this baterry to go off without dragging on it. I really had to swing like a baseball bat to get it to trip. I even put it next to my subwoofer and see if the bass could set it off nothing happened.

As far as taste of the cartos. It was a pleasant tobacco taste nothing out of this world, but the smell of the vapor that is produced is nothing short of horrifying. I can't express how much this detracted from the overall experience of what should have been a top notch auto batt e-cig. I did put some of my own 510 cartos on it they looked like they fit and they worked. Gave it a whirl still same great vapor.

BTW I am Basil's aforementioned roommate hence why I got to play around with this product for free.

...I haven't tried any 4081 stuff yet but tiburon, isn't the construction of the ones you're talking about diff inside than regular cartos such as KR8? Thought the atty/heating element/whatever was laid out differently.

i believe so, but i think basil stated he used an adapter. i do have an adapter from 401 bat to 808 atty and the atty part fits on the 4081 bat nicely.
i could not watch basil's video [slooooow internet today] but looked at delite's website and i think they are 4081s. maybe basil will take a carto apart and let us know.
there seems to be a whole crop of ecigs coming up based on the 4081s with the different carto design.
katya should be getting my sample any day now and i sure wish we would hear from scottbee.

Yeah don't know about the threading but I meant the inside -- basil said that of the SD looked the same as any 'regular carto,' and I'd been thinking that the 4081 ones you've been using wouldn't look the same when peered into, e.g. no long wire standing up through the middle or whatever. But I'm only stabbing in the dark there lol (and my wifi connection sucks so bad much of the time that unfortunately I end up skipping lots of videos too, including this one! ;)).

i don't know if basil ever took a carto apart and if you just look straight down into one there isn't much to see.
hopefully, we can get him to look at yankee's picture and have him take one of delit's cartos apart

Glad to do so. I had actually washed one out to give it a fresh refill and see how it behaved. Once I've done that, I'll rip into it and we take some better photos. My digi-camera battery was charging, so I had to use my BlackBerry.

Looking straight down, I could see the wire poking up through the top, just like you do on an 808 or 510, but that doesn't mean much.

hi basil, vaporer, who is also active in pif just like you, offered to take apart and compare all those different cartos. he is looking for used up ones to disect. i will send some of my trueman cartos to him, maybe you could do the same with one of your used ones?
did you ever clarify the "made in usa" issue with delite?

I'll get in touch with him. Thanks for the heads up.

I PM'ed Delite so we'll see what he has to say about the cartridges. I was offered some Menthol ones to try, so once I've sampled those, I'm hoping to package it up as a PIF contest for a new member, or if I get too lazy, just as a PIF offer.

Here's the response I got from Delite:

"We buy them from a USA manufacturer that states everything is made here in the USA."

omg, basil, is that the wording they used? talk about passing the buck [with horrible grammar]!

lorikay has done extensive research on the 4081 and, to my knowledge, has not come across an usa manufacturer.
with so many chinese shipments not getting through customs this would be amazing news and ecf should be buzzing!
i just don't know
