I have a Joye eGo w/ the basic 650 batts. I was considering trying the Smoketek XL dual carto's. But I'm confused (nothing new here) about the ohm ratings. The 1.5 ohm has 2 3.2ohm coils and the 2.0 ohm has 2 4.0 ohm coils. I've been using Boge's at 2.0 sohm and 3.0 ohms.

Which of the smoketeks do you think would be OK to use on w/ the 650 Joye eGo batts? Or if you have another suggestion - I'm open to that too.

Right now I can get a pack of them on sale for $8.50 which seems reasonable.

Go with the 1.5 ohms. Harder on the battery, but the 2 ohms on a 3.2 volt battery is pretty weak on vapor.

I've only been at this a couple of months or so, but I have in the house pretty much every variation of 510 threaded carto's.

Of the DC cartos, I like this one best: 510 Dual Coil Stainless Mega XL Cartomizer

Right now I'm digging a 3.5 ohm fluxo on my new vv pv. For an eGo bat, you'd want these in the 2.4-2.6 range. FLüXomizer CE2 Cartomizers - GotVapes.com

The 1.5 will perform the best but it will shorten the time between charges. eGo does make a dual Coil carto that works very well. If you try the dual Coil cartos and like them, I would recommend going to a 900, 1000 or 1100 mah ego battery. With a 1000 or 1100 mah battery your looking at about 8 or more hours of vape time. Milage may vary here based on how much you vape :)

That's exactly what I'm using currently. I opted for the 1.5 ohm version and have been pretty happy with it. With my type B SR atty I would usually get close to 8 hours out of a battery. With the Smoktek cartos I think I get about 4.
I had to open up my cone a little to fit the cartos as well.
I'd also suggest a Delrin drip tip as these can get hot (especially if you peel the black coating off).
I've only been using them a few days but I'll try to answer an questions.

ETA: I agree with the post above. I had no need for a bigger battery until I started using these. Now I'm looking at a 1000 mah pass through as an option.

I use emdccs daily and they work well enough for me, they are 1.6 ohm by using 2 3.2 ohm coils. I use it on my 650 ego passthrough battery and get through a work day fine and plug it in when i get home.
emdcc = ego mega dual coil carto

I take it that the EMDCC is like the Smoketec, but a different brand?

Heyas,

I've tried the smoktech 1.5Ω dcc's on my ego and they're not my favorite. Nothing wrong with them, and they haven't seemed to harm my batts yet. They just don't perform as well as boge LR cartos, or dripping on to an LR atty.

However, that being said, $8.5 seems like a good price for a box of them, so by all means give them a go. Everyones tastes are different, and they might be just the thing for you :)

Be careful of letting them get too hot. There has been an issue with overheating the mosfet switch when using LR cartos with ego type batteries.

I did some more surfing and reading and on the Clouds of Vapor site they say this: "NOTE: Will not work with eGo, 510, 901 or mosfet driven type batteries. The Dual Coil should to be used with 3.7 volt mods with a switch capable of handling 2 or more amps. "

I haven't seen this warning anywhere else or been able to find out more search ECF and/or googling it. Should I be concerned about using Dual's on a Joye eGo batt? It seems a lot of people say they are using them on eGo's or maybe they're using them on eGo clones and not the Joye eGo.

Confused again!

The EMDCC's I have from madvapes are Smok branded, after using Boge 2.0 ohm cartos for a while now- I prefer the Boges. They have less capacity but it seems to be a better vaping experience and less juice lost when one goes bad. I haven't tried the resurrector yet without a tank but it should perform great with an ego batt

I have been using the smoktech DDC 1.5 ohm for months now, but im going to try to switch to the CE2's because i am fed up with smoktech's quality. I got one completely bad batch where every single carto did not function right, I got a partial refund from the vendor and bought another two boxes, in which most of them still did not work at all (several of them had the air holes blocked so you could not even draw any air through it.

All of that aside, I really do love them, great vapor and TH....but their quality control just sucks -_-*
