Yeah I just got the Joye510. Last time I tried an
ecig it was from a shopping mall, it nearly put me off them totally as being a con. But the Joye510 I bought seems fine and much cheaper.
I'm very new to this so still smoking analogues, but good luck (and me too)
You just confirmed what I am saying. The RN4081 will drive more ex-smokers back to smoking that keep them off the analogs.
It's good to have variety and the 4081 is fine for some and I am fine with that. But I and many others have done side by side comparisons of the 4081 to a good mod, like the Prodigy, SB, chuck, etc as well as a regular 510 and it just does not provide the same good thoat hit, consistency and long battery life that these units do. And there are hundreds of posts on ECF that back up that point.
The one thing I will commend SE on is how they stood up to the FDA. They deserve praise for that even though it was in their own self-interest.
I think we should help those you have bought this device as much as we can to make it work better. But I think we are doing them a disservice if we infer that this device is just as good as any other and that "user error" is the problem. With my mod, I drip a couple of drops of liquid when it is needed and change the
batteries every 5-8 hours and that is all I have to do to get consistently good flavor and throat hit. You cannot get close to that with an RN4081. I just DON'T like new vaporers to be confused that all PV's are the same, because there are ones that are significantly better.
Note: when someone says they are a heavy vaporer, we all really need to quantify that statement. I believe I am a heavy vaporer and on average, I take an inhale off my PV about 30 times an hour. If someone takes an inhale once or twice an hour, I personally don't think that qualifies as "heavy". If we all can do this quantification occassionally, then I think it will better help those who are new.
