Smoktech cartomizer 3.2ohms - ejuice drop from bottom

Hi everyone, I have been using the Smoktech cartos 3.2ohms for some time now with my Ibtank. I love these cartos, easy to fill and work for me. I do not per say have a leaking problem and never really experienced a tight draw or a flooding issue. But once in a while I will take the tank off of my mod and see like a drop of ejuice on the battery connector. This is not condensation, but a large drop if you will.

Now the carto is primed well and this does not happen on the first fill. I will clean the connector, wipe the carto at the bottom, and vape with no issues after that. I do chain vape once in a while.

Question is, that drop of ejuice I see from time to time, is that a result of chain vaping? Is this what is considered flooding? Basically what does it mean when you see a drop of juice on the battery area where screw your carto on?

I do not consider that to be a flooded carto. Especially if you are not experiencing gurling or a stiff draw while puffing (that would mean a lot of juice in the center air hole). More than likely what you are seeing IS just condensation from the drip tip and center hole of the cartomizer, even if it seems like a large drop to you. I see this occassionally with my own cartotanks.

Having said that, if you are a chain vapor occassionally, your vaping technique might be causing some early stage flooding issues. Smoktech cartos are more likely to flood than the other brands due to their less dense filler. My suggestion is to be more patient with your vaping technique. Hard and short puffs will pull too much juice into the carto and lead to flooding issues. I always suggest a gentle, slow, and long draw of 4 - 6 seconds. Think how you suck on a straw that's in a thick milkshake, but gentler and not so hard.

Should you find that the Smoktech cartos are indeed too easy to actually flood on you, switching to the more dense filled Boges or Ikenvape cartos might solve the problem.

Always wipe any juice or condensation off the connector pin of your battery device with some alcohol and paper towel. Blow out the carto's air hole (Upside down, drip tip to the floor, carto wick holes in the air lock of the tank. This technique prevents more juice getting sucked into the carto from the tank).

Thanks Baditude. I believe you might be right. It is probably my draw technique plus the chain vaping. I will have to slow it down a little bit. But thank you for detailed response. Seems like I have everything squared away. Otherwise everything is working fine.
