I must say so far I am not impressed with the DC. Now I can not compare them not being in a tank but all they do is clog. The draw is tight and the flavor is severly reduced. I have made the holes bigger but that does not seem to be the problem. They stay plenty wet. The air chamber completely clogs after a day or 2 and I clear them with a fine wire but within a few draws it is back to being clogged. I have 3 tanks and cut one down today to fit a boge. I have not used it yet because I am lazy right now and have not peeled the black off yet. I think I may order some in stainless and see how it goes. The flavor of my LR Boge is awsome. Could not believe the difference in taste last night when I dug one out and filled it up. Does anyone else seem to be having this problem? I have 10-11 of the prepunched Smoktechs and may put them up in the trade section for some 2.0 LR Boge. Before I do, I will welcome any suggestions or other expeirences with the Smoktechs.
Thanks and as alway any and all opinions are welcome.

Hmmmm wish I could help ya but mine have been doing great. Only problem was the one I made the hole too large still trying to think of how to fix this instead of sacrificing a dc.

I had the same problem once. I cut a carto condom bottom off with scissors, slid it over the carto to seal the hole and just used it without the tank. Worked just great. I wouldn't recommend putting it in a tank as your juice might degrade the carto condom and you would be vapin' plastic.

On the dual coil issue....I think this is just about personal preference. I love a dual coil on my 3.7 devices in a tank...it's the only way to really use a carto on 3.7 IMO.

2.0 Ohms for some at 4.1 - 3.7 just doesn't cut it. I have some 1.2 ohm dual coils on the way to try on my Precise Plus...and some shorty 1.5 dual coils to fit in my little mama tank...I just like the shorter look of a single coil tank. There are so many different options.

Perhaps you just got a bad carto...also they take a day or so to break in.

I have some 3.0 ohm dual coils that I got for 5 volt vaping....not digging them yet...but perhaps if I keep trying and figure them out.

I also have a bunch of 801 fusions on the way....so we shall see.

But so far the best vape I have had in a carto tank after about 4-6 months is a Boge 3.0 carto at 4.7v on the Provari with some Ecto Plasum Reduced PG.

Just fill the carto before you punch it and let it sit for about 30 min in the tank and take some dry pulls till you stop seeing bubbles.

It's fun to experiment, but since I have found this 3.0 boge set up, I know at least I have one thing that I love so experimenting is not as frustrating.

I've stayed away from dc's in a tank.. kept hearing that they flood easy but then I hear they do well for others. I have always used the smoktech 1.7 but just got in some boge 3.0 cartos to use on my vv mods. Boy they were hard to punch! Even with a saddle valve. The first one I tried never seemed to work, very tight draw right off the bat and while it never dumped it's juice, it gurgled and spit juice back at me. I figured I damaged the insides when punching.. I just assembled and filled another boge and let it sit.. it's much much better, smooth draw, no flooding. and i'm using it at 5v

I'd try to punch a dual coil carto but I don't want to waste one.

Personally I dont like dual coils on an eGo or a 3.7V PV. Their okay, but nothing special. I find dual coils only really shine when used in the 4-5V range.

I don't know what PV you use but if you don't like the DCs, CCV now sells prepunched 1.7ohm Ressurector cartos to be used in the Smoktech tanks. I like them alot more than the DCs on my Epower. CCV has them for a great price for 15 and the free shipping is nice. They also have the metal base on them like the DC carto that comes with the Smoktech tank

Same here. I got one dual-coil tank (3.5) 1.7, and one EDCC at 1.5 the same day and tried them both out, and dual coils are not for me- not rated at 1.7 and 1.5 anyways.
My preference is still a Boge 2.0 (single) on my kGo, which even though it rates a tad higher than 3.7, it's about as good as it gets.
With a dual coil at 1.5, it's still 3.0 resistance, and that's just too high for me.
I thought I was the only one.
Cheers.

Incorrect! The dual coil cartos are two 3Ω coils wired in parallel, which results in the batt 'seeing' 1.5Ω resistance. I use eMDCCs which are two 3.2Ω coils in parallel, resulting in 1.6Ω circuit resistance.
