okay i fill the dual coil carto let it sit ten minute to soak, then insert it in the tank fill the tank with 70pg/30vg,real good and tasty for 8 vapes, then it gets dry,so i take off my drip it and top off the carto, good for 6-8 vapes then have to top off the carto again, what the hell, now iam thinking about that lil pin hole that feeds the juice, maybe i should be gentle and drill the hole a lil bit bigger....anyone try this?? I purchased 5 extra cartos with the tank so i need to figure this out somehow.....i have the tank on the lavatube vaping between 4-4.5

That hole they put in the pre-dotted cartomizers that come with that tank are way too small. A small drill bit will work, or you could just use a hammer and a nail or a screw to enlarge the hole. Just don't punch too far in, or the carto will flood and all of your juice will leak out. Take small steps, you can always make it a little bigger, but once it's too big you can't go back.

Be careful if you 'punch' the hole bigger. That little hole is close to the delrin grommet, you may distort the carto such that it doesn't seal correctly. You could actually punch or drill another hole higher up, having 1 bigger hole plus the original tiny one shouldn't matter. JMHO.

hey rack

i got the smaller tanks but they are basically the same

i open up the hole to 1/16 before use and they work great for me...
thats even with a higher vg content in my nicquids

as sedateme said, be very careful, apply just enough pressure to
open up the hole, dont pierce the innards, lol

you can also take a few non-powered drags occasionally to keep
the carto wet, watch for the bubbles coming out of the hole, kinda cool
i usually take 3-4 hard drags

hope this helps

If you have the flanged carto's with the tiny hole - when assembled the hole is real close to the delrin grommet. If you've not punch a carto before - when you do - the carto is distorted from the pressure of punching it, so the carto is slightly out of round after doing it. It may (not saying it will) cause a sealing problem. Take an old carto and try punching it, you'll see what I'm trying to say. It just may be safer to punch a bit higher up from the end of the carto.

I too drill my carto holes - if you're drilling with a hand drill you need to be real careful and go easy. Once the bit breaks through the steel it's real easy for it to grip the stuffing, spin it around and pull it out - messing up the carto. I use a 1/16 inch bit too - but do my drilling with a bench top drill press not a hand drill.
