I purchased a pack of the Smoktech Dual Coil 1.5 ohm cartomizers and a pack of the 2 ohm Boge cartomizers since those are the two that people keep talking about. I have a 1000mAh eGo-T battery that I'm using these on.

I find both cartomizers to be better than the Joye 510 cartomizers that I was using before. The soft cap and increased vapor production are great improvements. Both can produce about the same amount of vapor as each other. I also find that they taste a bit different but I don't prefer the flavor of one over the other. I find that the big difference is in the vapor temperature. The Boge produces a warmer vapor than the Smoktech. For me the warmer vapor is much more satisfying. If you prefer a cooler vapor or would like a cartomizer that is clear, the Smoktech is a great option.

On an eGo battery, I would recommend the Boge 2 ohm over the Smoktech Dual Coil 1.5 ohm. The Smoktech feels almost a bit reluctant with the vapor. It just doesn't have the same impact for me. It does however leave me wishing that I had a VV mod so that I could try it at a higher voltage. At 4.2 volts, it would be putting out as much power per coil as a single Boge 2 ohm at 3.4V. I suspect that is where these dual coil cartomizers really shine and I expect that my preference would be reversed at that voltage.

After a while, the smoktech clear dual coil cartomizers have developed cracks near the battery connection and now leak a bit a e-liquid. I did let them get quite hot from being in my car for a few hours, so maybe that did it. I don't notice any leaking from the Boge cartomizers. It could be that only the clear ones have this problem and the black ones would be fine. Maybe I'll get some black dual coils next time to try it out. They did last a reasonable amount of time before they started leaking, so for some people it will still be a good value. If you are new to e-cigarettes, I would recommend getting a few clear cartomizers so that you can see what is going on and develop a sense of when they need to be refilled, how much liquid to put in, etc.

I love mine at 5.6 volts.

As you probably know, I've kept up on your dual coil thread and a few others you've posted in with the same topic. I'm aware of your favorite hardware and I know you DIY your juice. I have a couple of questions:

What PG/VG ratio do you mix most of your juice at? Some of my juices will scorch when I'm getting over 5.0v with the 1.5 ohm DCs and I'm coming close to a conclusion that it has to do with the ratios I'm vaping.

The other question is about how you measure your voltage. When you say you like them at 5.6, is that load volts or is it without the carto active? - I'm asking that for a different reason than the first question. Because of your comments, I think my next buy is going to be a sgt vv army tank. I'm just nailing down what I think I can expect out of it.
