I was number 17 of the ECF winners, so I'm hoping I'm one of the 30 that has been sent out!I rec'd the following email from Smoktech late last night.

I don't know how accurate it is either I just figured I'd let everyone know what they said.Idk how correct that is... didn't someone say they called Madvapes and all they are waiting on is the addresses of the U.S. Winners? Wouldn't that suggest that they already have the products and will be shipping them out here as soon as the addresses are revealed?

I think the "fine package" part was referencing having to package up all 600 boxes individually instead of putting them in cases and palletizing them for shipping.I'm not good at speculating but it could be that the tfv4 was so wildly successful that supplies ran low.
The "fine package" could mean an upgrade to the full tfv4 kit, a pack of coils or she thinks the cloud machine kit itself is worth the wait. We likely won't know until it arrives.
I think "pay attention to receiving" likely means to be on the look out at least 30 are on the way.
But it's all speculation.

My money is on the delay being because the demand blew up, and all the reserved ones for prizes were used to fill other orders.Yea, it's possible.
Seems some think it might mean it was upgraded to the full kit or something else extra.
No one really knows until they shipments start arriving.

I doubt they've upgraded the TFV4 kits to the full ones, if anything they've changed them all to black versions, seeing as it costs Smoktech no extra that way.

You're right, it's fair enough that we're not paying so have to wait.Depends on how you define cost, I guess. The black tank/mod are on back order or pre order everywhere. I have not seen any vendor online or B&M with them in stock. I'll admit I haven't looked real hard either but I have seen a few people here or there asking for them. I was at my local B&M store a few days ago and THREE people came in asking for the black set up. Store owner has not received his shipment yet and told them it would likely be 2 or 3 weeks before he got any - he later told me he did not have the funds nor business to compete with the online retailers so he let them all get their shipments before getting his own - he said SMOK's rep he uses required a $10,000 order to guaranteed being filled and that was just to much for him.
I too think the likely issue is that the product was more successful then they ever imagined and fell behind on supplies. They then made a business decision to fill the orders of paying customers and put us on the back burner, which I completely understand.

I totally agree, but at the same time I'm in semi-desperate need,My Smok m80 has died on me!I also understand the anxiety some people feel, but as a business decision if you have an order that just came in for 10,000 units for example and you only have 9700 on hand, you can either fill the larger order and get paid or ship the free ones off and wait until production is caught up. I know what I'd do if I were in their shoes.
But again it is only speculation. It's quite possible they are lazy and run a bad business as well. I don't think that makes good business sense, but it's possible.
Regardless it was a great contest for a chance at one of the hottest items on the market. I'm grateful for the chance and thankful for the win. I can be patient for awhile until they get caught up.
