The "stainless steel" got scratched in a bag, just with my phone, with no sharp edges or anything and it overheated once and never opened again..

I don't believe that the sun could have caused batteries INSIDE a mod INSIDE a bag to overheat.

And even if it did, it's not the sun's or even Smok's fault.

So your complaint about Smok sending us crap is invalid.

What's more likely is that it was in your bag with the fire bar being pressed and released constantly.

I've noticed it doesnt take much to get it to fire so that is prob what happened.

I've noticed that in power mode the ohms are fairly accurate but in temp mode they seem to be off. Will read .27 on my evic and like .23 on the xcube
I don't know if you are aware of this, but temp control wires(nickel, titanium, stainless steel...) change resistance depending on their temperature maybe that's what happened there.
