SO many DIY'ers on this thread! That's great. So, in absolute honesty, including mistake batches, flavors bought that you don't like, all those kind of things, how much does it really cost per ml to DIY. Of course, I'm not talking about the successful batches, I believe a nickel per ml is the cost for that, but what about the all-in cost including your learning curve?

Not that much, or *I* certainly couldn't afford it!

When trying a new recipe, NEVER EVER make more than 5ml. If it's good, you can always make more. If it's crap, you haven't wasted much.

That is good pricing, but you could definitely cut that down some more. DIY upfront sounds like you need more than you really do to start.
A couple hypos, a graduated cylinder, PG, VG, nic, and some flavors are all you really need. Lots of juice calculators out there with recipes to give you exact amounts. Save up some of those bottles you have, and you are good to go.
Like most else vaping there is a lot of info on ECF and others to help.
I'm really seeing that with ECF and DIY especially with this thread, really making me explore my options with the amount yall are spending to DIY compared to what I'm spending! And where I'm going now the guy does strictly DIY juice he only sells his own and everything is made to order fresh. So I'm basically paying him to DIY for me. Before I found him I was going to a local b&m and paying $15 a 30ml and that was really expensive granted I didn't go thru as much juice cause I'm on a fixed income ave had to make 60 ml last two weeks but now I'm getting 4 time the juice for the same I was spending so I am not as conservative. That and with breaking my leg I've been stressed out and had more time on my have so that leads to more juice consumption as well

I always found the best price on those and farm and home supply or feed stores lol
I'm lucky I live about 5 minutes from DIY Flavor Shack. Have pretty much everything you need in stock. Woo hoo, instant gratification. No vape mail required.

I smell bacon, i think i need to figure out a bacon vape also i may have a bacon problem lol

No you don't, really you don't want to. Many have tried to make a bacon flavored juice, and all have failed.

Fortunately, I saved the graduated cylinders, beakers, and pricey glass syringes (the plastic ones lost their markings WAY too early). Any chance that my 3 year old flavorings are still any good? I should probably toss those. And I bought loads of em.. :(

I wouldn't trust them at this point PG has a shelf life of either 1 or 2 years (don't remember which right off).

You can definitely overspend to get started, but just a few basic tools and a few flavors you like will get you going.
Small batches as stated before to start.

There are a ton of original and clone recipes around. Do a search for your favorite juice flavor, and chances are someone has made it and posted a recipe (or a reasonable facsimile thereof for you to tweak). This will also give you an idea of some flavors to start with.

Thats what I don't get about DIY. You guys go through CRAZY quantities of juice! So, chicken or egg? Do you vape so much because you DIY, or do you DIY because you vape so much? I can't imagine going through that kinda juice, and it seems I vape all the time!
