I don't go through crazy amounts of juice. The max I went through back when I used gennys all the time was 200ml a month, most of the time now I go through less than 100 mls for a month

Whew! Glad to hear that. I was getting skeered that if I start to DIY, I'll just go crazy on the stuff. My wife averages 30ml a month on a 510 drip atty, and I was at about 70 but I can see that this dual coil Petri and this new SS subtank are going to up that.. considerably. MAYBE double, which puts the TWO of us then around 170ml/month. I guess like all things Vaping, just got see where this all leads..

OH, and PROPS to you Nancy! I got GREAT respect for anyone who can make a Genny work well. I tried, LORD knows I tried. From AC9 American junk to Chinese junk, I got nothing resembling decent flavor no matter how much I tweaked.

Thats what I don't get about DIY. You guys go through CRAZY quantities of juice! So, chicken or egg? Do you vape so much because you DIY, or do you DIY because you vape so much? I can't imagine going through that kinda juice, and it seems I vape all the time!

I use 35ml-40ml a week, and I couldn't afford THAT much, with store-bought juice, the prices are EXTORTIONATE. My DIY, even with some of the expensive WTA in it (though I'm down to 2.4% now!), is only about 10 cents per ml to make.

That's good to know ...I don't like a really hot vape so TC sounds perfect...just thought maybe you could taste the ni ...but I guess not because it seems like there is a heck of a lot of them!!
The very first time you vape with a new build, the taste is metallic (but that would be the case with any new coil). After that, I don't taste any metallic taste with nickel coils.

SO many DIY'ers on this thread! That's great. So, in absolute honesty, including mistake batches, flavors bought that you don't like, all those kind of things, how much does it really cost per ml to DIY. Of course, I'm not talking about the successful batches, I believe a nickel per ml is the cost for that, but what about the all-in cost including your learning curve?
Really not that much at all. I make for myself and a couple of other people and now my brother. My base runs around $60 a year and my flavors maybe average around $60 to $100. Sometimes more if I want to try a bunch of different recipes or make up some for other people. I can make a heckuva bunch of juice for under $200 a year. Last year I only made 3 different recipes just for myself and it cost me around $125 for the whole year and I still had enough left over for some experimentation and occasional sharing. Failed juices are still vapeable, they don't get thrown out as most will settle down after a few days and you can figure something to add to it to improve flavor or pass it along to someone else who may like it. Usually I save them for when I have a cold and add some menthol and a little koolada, if I can't taste it anyway, I just turn it into vape therapy.

I went from a vivi nova tank on a BB to an iHybrid, about my 3rd month vaping. I don't use my iHy's much anymore tho I do say I did love the vape from my gennys.

You can avoid losing the markings on plastic ones simply by putting a strip of tape on them -- they last about a month before they don't work well anymore. If the flavors are in glass bottles, then no problems. If they're in plastic... they may have acquired the taste of plastic, depending on the flavor itself and the type of plastic; soft plastics (LDPE and similar) seem to be the worst, and some flavors react badly with plastics of different types.

I don't use any of that other crap; I use plastic syringes with markings taped, and I mix straight into the glass bottle the juice is going to stay in -- no wastage with ejuice stuck to the sides of the cylinders. The only other tool I sometimes use are some small funnels; at Hobby Lobby I found some very tiny ones that are used for "sand art"; they're particularly useful for pouring my 120ml bottles of nicotine into 30ml glass bottles for freezer storage; 100mg nicotine is not a good substance to make a mess with. :D Hobby Lobby also has glass droppers with pointy ends, much better than the "bulb" type droppers that come in some glass bottles.

I am mixing my juices in glass Amber glass bottles I got along with my Flavorings and other supplies. but only got ones i wanted for batches of juices. The flavorings of course came in plastic bottles. should I transfer those to Glass?? What kind and where might be a good place to get inexpensive ones for that. Any Suggestions Info would be appreciated

Kinda like office supplies?
No more like throw away if it is opened but not used it is supposed to be thrown away of if it hits the floor or was opened by someone who forgot to put gloves on and so forth. You get the idea she can tell her employees to set them aside for me and I can boil them to sterile then before I use them.

You need to send a pm/conversation to @SmokeyJoe with your shipping info.

That's what I did within minutes of seeing the post announcing the winners. Immediately received an automated PM back from @SmokeyJoe saying he would get back with a real response. Haven't received anything else yet but I figure he's pretty swamped with everything.

Was wondering if any of the others have heard anything back yet.

I've seen some better prices at specialty vendors, but I've gotten almost all my bottles thru Amazon; a dozen amber glass 30ml is about 8-9 bucks. Those are good for flavors, and I also use them for nicotine freezer storage -- I don't make real large batches of ejuice, so I don't want a big bottle that's been opened and opened and opened etc -- air is what oxidizes it.

You can also get 60ml bottles on amazon, though I've gotten a few also via WizLabs, because of their conical-insert caps -- those are the ones I put actual mixed ejuice in, because it oxidizes much faster once it's all mixed. So far 60ml is the biggest batch I've made, though once I'm done with the WTA and don't have to do this constant stepping-down, I'm sure that will change.
