This one must be the right answer@SmokeyJoe There you go Oxford Dictionaries’ word of the year is ‘vape’ - The Washington Post
"The modern e-cigarette was invented by a 52-year-old Chinese pharmacist in 2003, and didn’t appear in the United States until 2006. When it did, Oxford Dictionaries explained, a “gap emerged in the lexicon, as a word was needed to describe this activity, and distinguish it from ‘smoking’. The word vape arose to fill this gap, and it has proliferated along with the habit.”"
Thats how i took it as wellI think he is looking for the word VAPE (or variations of it) in association with nicotine post marked the oldest. Not necessarily articles wrote about the history.
More of a forum post dated 2006 or beyond with the word vape in reference to nicotine.
Not so much an article wrote in 2015 about the history of "vape".
That was my interpretation of the contest anyways.
But the article explains when it needed to use another word instead of smoking. And it is about modern e-cigs. Well this is all i have found.I think he is looking for the word VAPE (or variations of it) in association with nicotine post marked the oldest. Not necessarily articles wrote about the history.
