I just got my Russian 91% today and I can't get it to work on my smoktech magneto. It works fine with my long extension for 510 that came with my VTR. My smoktech is the version 2 that came with the adjustable center pin...but the pin seems to only adjust down, not up. Does anybody know a fix to this? I've thought about just getting another screw just a tad longer because that's what is needed then adjust down for my other atomizers.

You would think an adjustable pin would adjust both ways, not just down. Ugh.

BTW. It works fine on all my other mods. I built a 1.1 ohm coil. :)

Yes the magneto's pin is pushed up all the way as far as it will go. With the Russian I've tried dropping my topper screw down...it loosens the post inside where my coil is built every time. The center screw on the russian is also attached to one of your build posts on your build deck, making it impossible to screw down without making the post wobbly/very unstable which moves your coil....

Yeah, I forgot about that with the kayfun styles .... Now next question, you said that the adjustable pin is already pushed back up as far as it will go, perhaps the problem is that your battery is not making contact, as opposed to your Russian not making full contact with the 510. New mechs usually need to be adjusted for the topper, as well as the battery you are using.

Are you using flat tops, or nipples? And what size battery do you have installed?

Unfortunately I've tried both types of batteries. :(. It makes contact fine... There's a plastic piece I think I'm going to sand down that plastic piece just a tad. The problem is the plastic gasket keeps it from screwing up... It screws down fine.

It could be that the plastic insulator is too thick ... a QC issue?

I think its just how the Russian is made. You can't adjust your screw down because it screws with your coil build...very frustrating. I bought this russian specifically for this Magneto because they both have the same finish. :(

Well don't give up on the set up ... modding and tinkering is sometimes a necessity. Or you could contact the vendor and request a replacement if you don't want to be bothered with tinkering, which is understandable. I hate it when a planned set up doesn't work out, and it has happened a couple of times.

Empty your tank, if it is not already, and then follow the link. If you have a Kebo Russian 91%, you will be sorted!

Actually the center pin on the Russian is a two piece. Unscrewit all the way, your coil base will come off. Once you get it out you will see it is two pieces. The outer piece is used to hold the base tight and has a groove for the screw driver. Install that to resecure the base and tighten it down. Then reinstall the smaller center pin and adjust to make contact with the mod. Hope this helps, I know it helped me when I found out. Good luck
