So I got my SID about 1 week ago and the one thing I have noticed is that I seem te get "short" going accross the screen 2-3 times a day. Not a mojor issue as I just have to let go and reclick. Just wonderign what might be causing this.
My Set up:
SmokTech SID
Vivi fate tank 1.5ohms
efest 2000mah batteries.

Sorry if this belongs somewhere else but I didn't see any for just SmokTech/SID

I'm having the same problem with mine except perhaps a little less often. I've seen it a few times since getting a new one 4 days ago. My old one had a bad button problem, was misfiring, and would only work when you held it down really hard. The warranty is only 30 days and it's a one-time deal. I too am wondering what this problem is. I run a DCT tank and a 1.7 cartomizer and Efest 18650 battery.

On another note, my eGo 650mah decided to die yesterday, won't hold a charge for longer than 5 minutes, but it lasted a good 10 months.

R.I.P :vapor:

Time to shop for a backup!

Ive got 2 egos from 3 years ago and they still work just fine. Got em from volcano. Only issue I have is it doesn't have ego threads.

Well, like an idiot, I bought 4 SID's and am having problems with each one. The most irksome issue is how when set either to "wattage" or "voltage" mode, they will spontaneously change to the highest setting. I'll be happily vaping away and all of a sudden it tastes like my juice is getting 220 volts running through it. I'm running Jennys on all of them @~1.7 - 1.9 Ω. I'll check the settings and find it maxed out. I reset it and am good for a while again but then the settings eventually change again. I do not carry the devices in my pockets or fiddle with the fire button, so I do not think I'm inadvertently changing the settings. Plus I find it odd that the setting goes to the highest power / voltage. I think this is coming down to a case of you get what you pay for. I wish now I had not been so quick to pull the trigger on this device and tried the first one I bought for a longer time. I'm sure the vendor is going to wonder what kind of scam I'm trying to pull when I tell him / her that all 4 units are having this problem. Guess you live and learn.... just wish it didn't cost money for the lessons....lol.

Also have what you describe happen, ironslave. I'm really wondering about the build quality of the SID..... maybe the pretty colors bested my better judgment...lol. I'm stuck with these things now since it's past the warranty period and I can only blame myself for that. At least they work properly most of the time.
Pardon my ignorance but what is "hot boxing".... I think I have an idea, but would like to know for sure. TIA.......
