The new anodized models do not have the SID logo on the battery tube. I found one for $40 with 40% off today, came to $26.22 w/shipping, and ordered one. They only have Silver but the price is right and no concern with the coloring coming off.

The wife decided she wants to move up to a mod so I ordered another one today w/a the 3400 mAh Panasonic battery. The price went back to $46.95 but the %40 off was still good.

I have had my SID for about 5 months now and loved it so much i bought a second one to have as a spare. I love the menu it is very easy to navigate. I really can't see why I would need a more expensive set up when this works so great. It is also very durable. It may not feel very tough but it is I drop mine probably 3 times a day at work and still works like a champ. Not so crazy about the SID 2 I don't like the extra buttons. I Had a Vamo and switched to the SID because I was always raising my voltage with out meaning to.

SID 2? I'm pretty sure there's only the SID and the anodized SID. Where did you see this?

Yeah, never heard of a SID 2. Still have my SID and it is my primary at home, knock-about device.

I guess I am not 100%what the name is. They told me at my local store that it was the upgrade to the SID it has buttons just like the vamo.
