Smoktech Tank / 1 hole Carto

So I'm kind of to the point that I think these things are just bad. I've widened the hole, punched a second, etc and they start out ok (1 didn't) and then just stop wicking and taste like burn. Luckily this was a temporary fix while I wait for my real setup but does anyone have tips for this thing? I don't have any 100% PG super thin liquid I'm stuck with 50/50 on most things. I don't mind the lost $$ I just need to figure out how to make this thing survive until my goods arrive.

take it off the tank put on the drip tip and see how it works. ive been using dc 2 ohm single hole for a year and rarely have a problem. I do have a glass tank that is really tight. it can give me problems due to air pressure - flooding. I can take it off the tank and after a while is good again. this may not help at all but good luck

Can you drip some ejuice into the carto itself to try to keep it moister?

Simplest solution is to just keep the carto topped off by dripping into it every so often. Do that until you get a decent set up. If you want to go with carto tanks I would buy a good glass tank and Ikenvape cartos.

Yeah I ordered my pyrex tank over a week ago and have ikv 801 cartos on the way, this was just a temp fix until i got them. I've tried everything these things are a joke.

50/50 juice, I always used triple hole carts in my smoktech tanks. Worked pretty well for several months, but the last batch of carts I got did not do well. Neither the double or triple hole ones. I'm thinking there was a bad batch of them out there.

I like em, but I do get what you're saying about how it tastes burnt after a while. Usually when that happens, I just drop in 4 drops and I'm good for a while. Its just your polyfill getting too dry.

It's not an issue of the poly fill really, the thing refuses to wick at all.. I get a couple small air bubbles once in a blue moon but otherwise nothing. I found some 100% PG juice that is thin as water and it still fails to wick. My advice is stay away from this hokey setup all together

I've got a couple DCT tanks and have gone through several boxes of the SmokTech 2.0 ohm pre-punched single hole cartomizers. Only had one bad cartomizer, went up in puff as soon as power was supplied. All the juice I use is 50/50. These have a LOT of filler compared to the XL sized Boge's so priming has really been the key to success with them for me. I've found 35 drops to be about perfect. I drip 15 and let it sit a minute, drip 10 and let it sit a minute and then drip the final 10. At that stage I put them in the tank and fill it up. Take several pulls, no power, until you see an air bubble rising from the carto hole in the tank and then you should be good to go! Got a good solid week and about 50ml of juice through the last one I was using. Good luck and hope it helps!

Once you have burned a carto, it really doesn't wick well at all, in my experience.
