I clipped a coil off mine and stretched it and the tension is perfect, IMO. Just be careful messing with that little spring. I was squishing it between my thumb and forefinger, testing it, and ZING! Off it went. Luckily, it didn't fly too far lol.

I'd like to do that in my spring too but I find it very usefull even if it is stiff coz im pretty sure it wont fire in my pocket without locking it :)...prolly in the future ill do that too!

You can simply anneal the spring over the stove. Just get the coils glowing for a second is enough....makes the spring softer and the button becomes nice and easy to push.

So to the folks making improvements in the electrical connection dept., just how much do you feel in being gained?

I didn't notice a HUGE gain when I did mine, however considering how easy it is to do, I don't see why you wouldn't... unless of course, you have sausage fingers and don't like fiddly little "things". I do this kinda stuff every day, so I've got a somewhat fine touch, but can understand it being a hassle for those who aren't used to it.

I'm going to either grind down to fit a 10 mm box wrench or buy one if I can find one that fits as is. Can that nylon disc be pushed away from the nut or do i need the make the wrench an open box end? I have been into it twice and nettle nose pliers just isn't cut it with this one. I mod just about all my vape stuff except batteries and my Kayfun but I've been thinking want I'd like to do to it, I just can't bring myself to do it yet.
I may modify a pair of nettle nose pliers instead

The white nylon disk just unscrews from the tube from the top. I used a bent paperclip through one of the vent holes in the disk to wind it out. Gives you a little more room with it out to work on that switch nut.

Nice. I was wondering how it came out. Has anyone tried getting the plastic piece off the positive post?

I have had mine for a week or more now and I think is is really great with LR atty, but especially RBA @ 1 ohm or so.
I did the sanding of contacts thing, and didnt notice any really improvement...
additionally, I dont think that the top or bottom screws on mine are actually brass underneath.

I love being able to throw 18630's in it when I go out, and use 18650's at home. Too cool.
I am looking forward to annealing the spring, which is the only thing I have any objection to on this mod, as everyone has said, it is REALLY STIFF.

Another way to loosen the nut inside the bottom cap to disassemble the button is to put a screwdriver on the edge of the nut and tap it to turn it loose (counterclockwise).

I will be on the lookout for a spare one! Love it.

Got my Natural yesterday from Mt Baker Vapor along with my new 18500 battery that I cannot use.

Love the mod! Hate the extra tube that I have to get to use 18500.

The mod is seamless using the Panasonic 18650.

Dont know what all the talk is of the fire button to stiff....You need to push something in!

What's the best 18350 battery to use for no seams?

Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh

Do keep in mind regardless of what battery you put in it and with whatever device you attach to the top, you will have to adjust your pins inside the unit... but the AW IMR's fit the best.... I too am at a loss to all the fuss on the button as well... Very soft on mine...
