I'm sure he's talking about the negative battery post that slides through the plastic separator.

I agree. That's what it sounds like, but there's contradicting information...

Don't know how it happened but the negative post in my natural is stripped where it screws together. It threads but won't tighten. I've never used more than my finger nails on each side to tighten it together.

Where on the post does it "screw together"? My post is solid. I can't imagine it's the plastic that's stripped as there's no way for the OP to use his finger nails to reach to tighten it... much less on both sides.

Going to have to do a solid post, I just took it out and examined it. I can actually pull them apart when they are screwed together.

It really sounds like he's talking about the long negative post, but then again, it really sounds like it's the short post of the switch.

My minds boggled!

The two posts thread together at the plastic spacer.

The negative post has screwdriver slots on both ends because it is two rods threaded together. They did that so they could use a washer to keep the post secured in the mod. It's definitely one of it's weak points, the terminals should be as minimal and conductive as possible. Two chrome plated rods held together by a micro screw, with a plated mystery metal washer between them is not the best idea.

Yes I was talking about the negative battery post. Thought all was good with taking out the washer and just screwing them together but it's not staying together... Just got home so I'll try to figure something out.

Thanks! It was actually "my" confusion as my post must be frozen as it won't come apart. I guess this is something you would have preferred. Good luck on your repair.

Try your local hardware store, Lowe's, Home Depot, whatever. They'll probably have a selection of brass machine screws that could be used as a post. You might have to sand the head of the screw flat, but it should work. While you're there, see if they have small O rings. Another source of the little O rings is (don't laugh) any place that does body piercing. Some plugs are held in with O rings. You should be able to pick up several pretty cheap. I'm thinking O rings for a 10 or maybe 8 gauge should work.

I'm wondering when and if the 18350 extensions are going to be in. I mean how hard is it to make a threaded tube of metal. I should have ordered 2 when they were in stock.

18350 extension? Isn't 18350 more or less the shortest battery you can buy for a PV?

Late night out in the garage. Torched purple to yellow fade on the tubes, stripped off the lock nut plating, acid etched button. :vapor:

posted this in the batteries forum, but wanted to check with other Natural owners too...

was sitting on the couch vaping away last night with a mini nova on my natural in 18350 mode. nova was just about out of juice, so i put on another one that was full, put on the 18650 extension, and popped a fresh 18650 panasonic in. the battery and tank have been used many times on this natural without any issues except massive amounts of vapor production!

took a few pulls and wasn't getting any vapor, but the button was getting extremely hot. not "vaping for 10 minutes straight" hot, but "if i hold this any longer i'm going to burn my hand" hot. so i dropped the battery out, unscrewed the tank, and disassembled the mod.

waited about a 1/2 hour and reassembled, making sure the button/rod weren't depressed to the point that they were in constant contact with the battery contact, and threw an 18350 ifest emr in, and had the exact same issue.

let both batteries cool down overnight on brick steps, and they were cool and looked totally normal. no burning or leaking, and the labels were still immaculate.

common sense tells me to ditch those batteries, but i don't want to toast any additional ones.

any advice on what caused this, and what i can do to the natural before putting another battery in and frying it?
(both fried batteries were less than a month old, and the 18650 probably had less than 10 total hours of use on it.
