I just took a scotchbrite pad to my IGO-L and Natural and am very pleased with the result. I read the tip on another forum here re scotchbrite as a way to create a satin type finish. As you can see from the picture there's not a big difference from the original finish on my other natural. Love the way the IGO matches now....

Looks good. I used to work in a factory that makes submersible pumps for municipal water systems. The pump casings are brushed stainless steel. Guess what we used to make the satin finish? Scotch-Brite. The pump casing was turned while a big scotch-brite pad was held to it. Different grades of scotch-brite + different brushed finishes.

I'm not the one you directed that question at, but I used a green pot scrubber from the dollar store.

I got my 510 sanded down as well so my attys sit flush now.

I still need to sand the top screw to lower the voltage drop... how do you adjust the screw on the 510 pin once you sand the line away that the flat head screw drive is needed to adjust the hight?

You don't need to sand it that far. I adjust mine with my fingers, anyway. The first time I took it out, I had to crank on it, but now it's easy.

Did you just sand utill you saw brass color? Or. Just sand a bit to get it flatter?

I just sanded until the brass came through. I used a piece of wet/dry sandpaper on my desk and make figure 8's on it with the screw. It didn't take very long.

If you've sanded down the 510 connector to make your attys flush you will need to sand the screw down the same amount. I sanded down the opposite end of the screw (not the side with the slot) until it was the right length, if it's too long you will get gaps when you put your battery in and adjust the screw for a flush atty....I did sand the side with the slot just until the brass showed.

Yea, I was noticing the screws to long now that I sanded down the 510 post. Gotta sand the screw when I wake up tomorrow. I got 240, 340, and 400 grade paper.

question guys i hope you can help me. i sanded all the top and bottom screws so it will expose the brass. i checked the voltage with freshly charge battery its 4.1 v, when i put my igo L 0.5 ohms and checked the voltage again it runs at 3.3 V. is this a huge voltage drop or a normal voltage in mechanical? i was hoping that i will get 3.9 volts with .5 ohms with fresh charge battery. but it alway says 3.3 volts.

I think you have to measure the voltage with one prop at the center post of your atomizer and the other prop at the firing button to get accurate voltage reading, for me i got a voltage drop of only 0.17 V (all post sanded to expose the brass contact and removing the tiny washer at bottom post)

What battery? You're asking for 8 amps out of it. Also, the voltage drop goes up the lower ohm your coil - you might have a drop at the Igo posts, inside the switch, bottom cap etc that won't be significant with less power.

Very true, the lower ohm coil you have, the bigger the voltage drop is gonna be.

I totally need to do this, I'm running the same set up as you... our drip tips even look the same. I hate the way my IGO-L is shinyer than my natural. I need to give this t go, I got more than one IGO so the other can still match my chrome stuff.

Here's how mine looks without it done, as you can see they don't match.


Got any extra tips on how you did it? Like how much presser did you use, did you rub in circles, how long did it take, ex.

I did mine by hand going around the circumference of the IGO. You have to be careful that you go in one direction and hold a constant pressure on it. I'm sure it would work out better if there was a way to put it on a drill or something to spin it, however I didn't have one so didn't try. I just stuck the cap over my thumb and went at it! Good luck.

Bored and just wanna share my natural with terminator c minus the clear tank with 510 adapter and o ring in between for grip lol just cosmetics but hey it looks good
