Vmax arrived today, unfortunately there seems to be a problem. Put the batteries in and when the spring makes contact it comes on for a second and then nothing when i try to screw the cap down, nothing. something im doing wrong?

I had a similar problem originally, finnally occurred to me it might not be completing the grounding ciruit, spring to cap, cap to tube. Used a pair of needle nose pliers to grab one side of the spring and rotated it back and forth to make sure it had a clean surface then screwed it in clockwise unit it was seated firmly. No problems since.

I got my Phoenix Ravens today from GotVapes, certainly nothing to crow about, they pulled them from their site almost immediately and sent them back.

I love my vmax, and the zmax sounds even better BUT.... and I hate to say this... I REFUSE to buy a zmax unless both the end cap, and extension end cap are both F L A T!

Yeah... yeah... Im making more out of it than I should cause the functionality of the unit is what matters.... but this one thing in my opinion is a design flaw that MUST be corrected. It annoys me to levels you just cant comprehend. So much ao that it messes with my enjoyable experience.

To that also, the unit tipping over cause of the rounded endcap on the vmax has twice now tipped over, rolled off the counter, and landed hard on the floor. It wedged the vivi nova on top askew and the threads on my vmax are now slightly wonky as a result. So i have to use extra care threading anything on/off of it.

I seriously hate the rounded end caps. I will not waste money on a zmax unless this gets fixed. I love ccv, and would only buy it from there but they wont get a dime of my cash if those caps are round.

Good idea to put a shorty 510 extension on it before the threads get any worse. Just a precaution.

Yes ALLLL the SS VMAX's with eGo top cap ARE indeed BLUE displays with blue button from CCV.

Well I hope mine comes with a blue display - have been reading this thread for a week and it sold me on the max, ordered a R4 gunmetel from a Canadian supplier early Friday and it (hopefully) should be here Monday also found a Canadian supplier for the AW IMRs and charger and they should be here Monday as well. fingers crossed

Great suggestion. I use them also. Be sure to order the sealed shorty. It keeps cleaning the connectors to a minimum.

One of the BEST $3 dollar products out there is a "SEALED" 510 to 510 "shorty" adapter or extension. Screw it on, leave it,,,never take it off...if the threads ever get messed up you unscrew it , put on another $3 adapter instead of a whole new mod/device. Not to mention keeps your device connection clean and dry form juice ,.....for the most part anyway. Thats the 1 thing thats on top of every VMAX...and every other device I own.
