Got my black Vmax yesterday at a vape meet. Bruce from Clouds Of Vapor was sponsoring the event and gave me a CRAZY good price on the Vmax because I was buying a GGStealth for my wife from him. I'm so glad too, I'm really digging this Vmax :D What's this owners club I've been reading about...?

Hmm guessing this offer is for the american folk around here?? I'm interested but in Canada so IDK if that will be doable, I'd be in for 2 sets of nipple tops if shipping wasn't too much

Shipping isn't the issue, as of late no more batteries can be shipped thru USPS out of the U.S.

Me me!! I will take 2 pair w/ nipps, please! :)

Sent from my vaping lair

I've got you down for 2 pair, four batteries, with nipples.
Shipping of course will be more, but USPS is pretty cheap.
Send me a PM so I have your info when they come in and to give you order status.

It will take a few weeks to get them.
Thanks,
Melissa

Is it possible for you to elaborate on that? I'd hate to think my only option for decent batteries is now restricted to Canadian only vendors. Theirs are usually knockoffs or overpriced.

Here is what USPS site says....

DATE: Published in the Federal Register May 14, 2012.

Mailings of Lithium Batteries

AGENCY: Postal Service.

ACTION: Final rule.

SUMMARY:
The Postal Service will revise the Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®) 601.10.20, to incorporate standards that prohibit the outbound international mailing of lithium batteries and devices containing lithium batteries. This prohibition also extends to the mailing of lithium batteries to and from an APO, FPO, or DPO location. However, this prohibition does not apply to lithium batteries authorized under DMM 601.10.20 when mailed within the United States or its territories.

Greetings Vmaxers! I have been eyeballing the Vmax since they first came out. I've held off given the fact that anything APV version 1 from Smoketech is dicey at best. Does anyone know if the SS version from CCV is a Version 2? I'm guessing these are newer since they sport that unique dimple design on the caps instead of the lightning bolts.

As well, I keep reading about the need to use earth magnets between the batteries, is this for all flat-tops or just the 18350s advertised for use. After watching a few reviews it also looks like 16340 AW IMRs will also work. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one today but until I can get these questions answered my credit card will remain in my wallet..haha

Thanks.......:2cool:

First of Welcome to the thread! :D

Yes the SS version is the NEW V2! It is by far the BEST one made out of ALL the colors released! When you purchase it from CCV you will get 2 Efests 18350 800 mah IMR High Drains that are Flat Tops and come with a magnet spacer with your purchase! IMO the QUALITY of the SS version is a lot better! It feels a lot more SOLID and the BUTTON feels a lot more STABLE! The button is actually different from the others being a CLEAR FROST style which allows the BLUE LED light to GLEEM through it! I will GUARANTEE 150% YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I HOPE this HELPS in making your decision! :D

Hi all Vmax users.....wow! Great vape! I am posting for Vapn. He was so kind to answer my questions as I've been a lurker here for a couple weeks now. I have to say that I'm afraid the batts I got are not holding the charge or I just shouldn't be using them with the DCT carto that comes with the tanks. The charge only held for approx 1 1/2 hr and then metered at 6.0 volts and stopped working. The beginning batt. volt metered on the Vmax at 7.7 volts, not sure why? I'm not sure what's going on with it. It vaped heavenly for that 1-11/2 hrs,but I know I should get more out of it than that. I have some fusions here that are 2.9ohm and will shortly check those to see if the prob. is the battery or the carto. Any suggestions?
I got the SS,and it is beautiful. There is no smudging at all; it's very sturdy and a bit heavier than I thought it would be but comfortable enough to hold for petitie female. There is a jiggling from the LED area, but from what I've read this was common in the first model or two,but I thought that it was remedied in this newer one. Can this be fixed or could it cause problems down the line?
I'm very impressed so far with this device as when I was vaping ,it was so much more satisfying than the Twist I've been using for a while. I think it's more comparable to my Darwin vape experience.
Overall,I'm impressed, but the vape time and the inablity to use the DCT at this point has me thrown off a bit. I hope that the fusion carto will change the low vape time on both the batt and the blinking when it got to 6.0 v on the battery, where the device totally stopped working.
I will report back as to how it goes with the 2.9 fusions....
Thanks Vapn for all of your support and time you took to answer all of my questions.

Steel arrived finally today, it feels and acts a lot more refined than the V1 and the Kir Trip tank looks awesome on it.
At 3 volts it still seems to hit as hard as the V1.

I'm very, very happy with it and would definitely recommend it;

Magnificent!

That tank really looks the business on it.

Can't wait for my SS to arrive.

Hey Freddie thanks for the welcome and the quick response...much appreciated. Cyrus my old friend always good to see you!

There is no shortage of Mods in my arsenal and honestly I feel a little dirty about buying a Vmax since it is overly apparent that Smoketech stole the design from a great US based company. However such is life in the big city I guess, at $125+ I wasn't too interested, but the price seems right for the SS.

I do worry a little about the LED window and wonder if long term it might have a problem like the original Pvari did. Hopefully it is a different type of mounting, guess I will find out when I take it apart.

Thanks again....will report back when it arrives.
