I'm acquiring some small scratches on silver v1 as I carry at work, pretty much retired my 1100 Ego for that. I can see chrome where these tiny nicks and scratches are, does anyone no if the chrome job is of good quality as I can envision wanting to remove the paint at some future date. Appears end pieces are also chrome. Anybody got any ideas?

I believe the layer under the paint is nickel, then brass, then copper.

Thats correct...it's nickel. Nickel is the last step of dipping before the chrome dip or paint/powdercoat etc....in the VMAX's case ...paint. The Nickel finish could be flawless...but their is a 50/50 chance it can also be runny / droopy / flawed.

From madvapes.....

This APV does it all. In addition, our Vmax has a native eGo style connector that allows you to use both 510 and eGo style cartomizers and atomizers without adapters.
Will accept protected Li-Ion 16340 batteries or IMR LiMn 18350 batteries.

Thanks for the pic cop.

Though it is not quite what I was expecting.

It appears it will take Ego style MEGA carts as produced by Smok which use the 510 fitting. So really they have just deepened the drip well to accommodate these ego style attachments.

I was expecting to see the ego external threading so you can screw down ego cones that slip over regular size carts. Unless it is there and you can't really see it in this pic.

I have just started using the Mega Carts and find the Ego just a tad under powered, even a on a Ego twist at highest setting. Will be good to use them on the Vmax without an adapter though.

Again,I am suspicious that Madvapes had a batch milled,I never saw that feature from Smok website at all.

Either way,cant be bad.

Nah as I had seen these on the web 2 weeks ago, then shot down in here a week ago. lols

I am not surprised at all because of the Smok Dual Coil Ego Mega ear that will now be able to be used on this, plus they pull in users of the Ego mega gear. So a smart move.

Hey Cop, have you any word if they have the Ego external thread or they are just milled to use the Ego gear?

I've been waiting for 2 days for madvapes to confirm what colour they are before ordering!!!
They look stainless but the description doesn't say.

Then i'll have one on the way and will let you know.

Not if I get mine first ;), if things go to plan, should have one within the fortnight from the Aus pre-order. 8)

Been following this thread from the beginning and was holding up pretty well. Only put a Vmax in my cart maybe 5 or 6 times with one vendor or another! Then I saw cop's Madvapes post. I was getting ready to place another order with them anyway! The Efest batts, WF-188 chargers and fusions are coming from CCV. Did I forget anything? The LT is OK but I like my "stacked" battery mods, the power just seems to hold up better IMO. My thanks to fuzzione for starting the thread, VAPNJ for the great info and everyone else for their input. The ol' wallet took big hit but I should be vapin' to the MAX by the end of the week!

Sounds like you have all you'll need ;)

I would have bought AW iMR high drain 700mAH 18350 for it though (But only because I don't know the EFEST batteries. Most people seem to like the Efest batteries though)

VAPNJ350 spent a couple of weeks doing comparison discharge tests on the AW's v EFEST's--progress reports are earlier in this thread. The upshot is that instead of being able to show people why they should spend the extra money on the AW's (as he expected) the EFEST's turned out to be pretty much dead even in performance across the board. Being the only batteries to ever have nearly identical performance profiles, we've speculated about whether they actually are AW's in a different wrapper.

You cannot go wrong with AW's, but at this point it looks like the same can be said for EFEST (at least in the 18350 size, since that's what he tested).

Thanks "pwyll" for the mention. I was about to post the same thing. For all of our 18650 mods and 14650 Epower users I should have those 2 battery sizes (18650/14650) in hand for testing hopefully by the end of the month. Fingers crossed. Now the pics that were sent to me of the 18650 the labels shows 2200 maH, and the 14650 shows a slick looking blue wrap with the E'fest sticker and a 1000 maH capacity. Im really looking forward to putting it up to the AW 1600/2000maH AW IMR's in the 18650 size and the 14650 up to the the IMR and PCB batteries I have on hand for testing. Should be really interesting to see if the E'fest brand really is a battery to put above AW and even more interesting at the price point for a battery that is equivalent if not better at higher amperage's. Very interesting indeed. Take care everyone. Till next time. ....J

Thanks for the info. (Never tried the Efest batteries because I allready have a bunch of AW's, but I guess i'll have to try them the next time I need some new batteries)

Note that the dimples on end cap with connection are not on the beveled section but below it, appears just a little longer. I have some ideas for a hybrid ( SS + cotton), I have some SS mesh but it may be to coarse as I have not figured out its grade. Probably what I have in mind is nothing new but I want to get away from the glass wicks.:vapor:
I will get my post count up without spamming
