The new versions doesn't run as hot as the V1's.

They still run quite hot compared to most PV though (But thats whats nice about the vmax. It hits harder than anything else out there)

i just ordered it yesterday. shipping from MV isn't that fast!
I have a rev 1 vmax in silver paint. The main reason why i wanted a new one is that the rev 1 runs to hot at 3v which actually feels like 4.2v. They've said this has been fixed in later versions. If when I get it the voltage feels the same there are going to be some return issues.

The longer top is what makes it able to except the eGo style stuff.

I know man, I have no use for it though. I want that blue display in non ego ss vmax. I'll put the red display back into the ego vmax for back up. I figure it's got to be pretty easy and i'm not too worried about warranty

I have Apollo vtube ss
and I think I want to buy Vmax, but I hate one thing about it, that when you want to vape it the backlight will turn on. there is an option in the setting to turn it off?

and I need suggestion, when I have Apollo Vtube and then buying vmax is this an upgrade? I mean about vaping experience, does it worth to buy Vmax when you have Vtube?

The option to turn off the back light is available in the later models, don't know about the button light.
The difference between the Vtube/Lavatube is night and day as the Vmax hits a lot harder.

I wasn't keen on the Ego versions endcap but it's grown on me, it makes the Vmax look less like the Provari and has given it a more futuristic look (especially with the blue display) I think the recessed lines look sharper on this version too.

Taking the Vmax apart isn't difficult but be careful not to go near the board, it wasn't too scary as I didn't have anything to lose as it's the atty connection is broken anyway, could be different if you're doing this to a couple of brand new Vmax's!.

Once you've popped the top cap using a hammer and a screwdriver you'll have to pop the sleeve that the board sits on - use the same method. Slide the window up thru the frame and twist the board so that the button comes out.
The whole board and sleeve should just slide out of the atty end of the tube and you'll have this sitting in front of you;

I'm drilling out the atty connection and replacing it with a sealed 510 connection from Madvapes.
The branding is coming off with the help of an industrial polishing wheel in work, the atty wires look too small to withstand the voltage going thru them so they're being replaced too
