I just happen to have a big tube of Wynol and thought that I would give it a try on my SS Max even though it appeared to not need it as it hardly come out of box, well it appears that it needed it after all and now it has some protection against oxidation, thanks VAPN350 for the tip. Probably could polish off smok/Vmax lettering which might not be a bad thing, but keep that in mind.
If your devices look dull or are starting to dull/fade out in clarity and sheen their is a product called "WYNOL" made and designed for polishing polished aluminum or SS. This stuff makes all that mothers metal polish or ALL the others look like toothpaste. All the motorcycle frames I've polished this is the ONLY product I would EVER recommend to keep em wet and glossy looking, and thats exactly what this stuff does. This product is a bit pricy at 15-20 bucks for a toothpaste size tube but it only takes a VERY SMALL amount to do a square foot of metal. Motorcycle shops usually carry it. It's a baby/sky blue tube with "WYNOL" written in white across the front. If you want your chrome/polished mod to look like it never has......this is the stuff you want.

How would you describe the improvement in shiny-precious factor following the procedure? :)

Scale of 1-10 before and after.

I was concerned about the writing coming off too, did you just hit it lightly there? Picture?

CCV has them for $95.50 Free shipping. A great vendor. for +$5 you can have the SS.

Edit:An Upstanding members was recently banned for being an unrecognized supplier associate. I emphatically state that I am not nor have I ever had a business relationship with CCV other than as a retail customer.

Do we all have to sign a pledge that we "emphatically state that we are not nor have we ever had a business relationship with CCV other than as a retail customer." for every vendor we recommend as you have just done for recommending CCV? :)

Not something that I'd use at the moment but I guess it does add flexibility.

Personally think it's a good idea. There are a lot of people vaping things like the Stardust that require too much fussing to get them working on some non eGo type heads. The way I see it the market has just opened to a lot of new enthusiasts and it certainly doesn't take away from the current generation.

So I went to pull the trigger on a SS Vmax from Timeeast and I notice healthcabin are going to start stocking them next week, so I figured I'd wait and buy one from them.

Then I saw this in the GotVapes forum.......
- NEW VMAX SS w/eGo compatibility

So there will be a V4 with ego connection now??!!?

Looked for but couldn't find this thread. Mind posting a link?

Been vaping the SS like crazy tonight; working perfectly. I 'think' it has a little less oomph at the lower voltage settings but I'm not convinced this isn't my imagination. Certainly it's hard to distinguish this by a seat-of-the-pants feel.

The battery cap threads are better. Not light years ahead but noticeably so. Fit and finish is excellent and like I said it's working superbly. About the only criticism I can come up with so far is that it's a little more unstable when propped on its end as it tends to wobble a bit before finding balance. It will be easier to knock over than my v1 black. Not quite certain of the reason for this yet but it's really a small problem I had to reach for to come up with a negative.

My SS does not seem to hit as hard at lower voltages as my chrome Vmax I glad it not just me:unsure:

7 before, 8 after, the cloth with very limited polish became very black making me think there was substantial oxidation. It didn't look like it needed polished. Maybe 8 before and 9 after, it looked real good out of the box,

I pretty much went real light over lettering but if they would come off easily and not show that they were ever there I would have no problem getting rid of them,

I am a big fan of Brasso, I use it more on plastic than tan metal though, not sure if military still uses it for polishing cockpit covers on fighter jets or not but they used to. I polish plastic headlight covers with it. The kits had not come out yet when I first did this. I would like to try the Wenol for this but I think at that price I'll just use it on more valuable things.

Gday guys.

Sorry to interrupt your vape.

I'm hoping ya's can clear something up for me.

Do the Vmax chromes have a new ego style fitting or are they the same as the Black or Silver V1 Vmax's?

I could have sworn I saw a picture on the net of the V1 black/silvers next to a chrome and stating that they did have a new fitting.

Any links/pics of the chrome or new stainless top fitting would be appreciated.

cheers Guys

VAPE ON!

Hi Bobbavet.
Didn't believe me ha. (joke)

Hey cop, good find.

RC

Yeh I was just talkin out my ...., hey Raven. Thanks for getting back to me and telling me I may have been right.

I didn't see this connection as a deal breaker or must have for the VmAX. Just thought it would be nice to keep my Ego cones over my carts with out having to add the length or hassle of an adapter. I was excited by the prospect.

Still can't find the pics I originally saw. 8( I'm sure it's like a V2.5 of the chrome / stainless and there are V3 coming out in patterned body stainless, chrome and black chrome. But don't take my word for it. Hey

Looking forward to getting my new SS Vmax in a couple of weeks off pre order. Hopefully it will have this ego fitting.

Im pretty sure the current ones are v3 (When I bought my SS vmax a few days ago, the description said "Vmax v3 stainless steel". They had both v1 and v2 one the site to)

Those patterned stainless steel body's look awesome (I might have to buy another one when they're released)
