Most interested to hear your impressions J. This sounds fantastic on paper and should be a winner provided it demonstrates decent build quality. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'd say we're going to see a few clearance sales on vmaxes in the next few weeks :)

Got the Phoenix XL today...nomore plastic on the posts to worry about, holds more juice, bigger area to build a perfect wick/coil, added thick o-ring to adjust the hit and it seems to produce even bigger clouds on the VMax than the smaller one.

Video inc soon.

Do you have a link to the new Phoenix XL? Not sure I understand what you are describing.

Edit: Never mind Optimo, I thought you were referring to a new version of the Phoenix XL Bottom coil rather than the Phoenix Rebuildable Atomizer

Figure this is the place to ask. I have everything in my case ready for work. After about 3 hours I can't imagine bringing the ego with me anymore. Soo would leaving the batteries in this case in the car be a bad idea? By next week I'll have a craftsman holster for my stuff but for now what should I do. Apologize if this isn't the place but I always see people complaining about more and more vmax threads.
Also I'd ask this In the group but can't access via tapatalk

Attached are two scope readings, Vmax at 3.0v and 4.0v into a 2ohm coil.

The red trace is the signal at the atomizer coil.

The yellow trace is filtered through a 10k resistor to a 10uF cap to ground. Theres no voltage loss when tested with DC in.

Vmax at 3.0v: yellow trace indicates voltage 2.7v
vmax3v.jpg

Vmax at 4.0v: yellow trace indicates voltage 3.6v
vmax4v.jpg

On the assumption the filter trace is correct, this doesn't explain why the Vmax hits harder than a Provari, as the actual voltage is lower than the set voltage.

More work to do.

With batteries it's comes down to temperature. If it's cold where your at then I would say it will probably be ok to leave batteries in your car. In Florida in the summer I would NEVER leave any battery much less a Lithium Ion Manganese (IMR) in a hot car. Remember cars get much much hotter than the outside temp when sitting in the sun on a black top, cars in Florida in the peak of summer can have a interior temp of over 140 degrees on a 90 degree day with average humidity. Batteries left in a car are 9 times out of 10 just a bad idea.

Their are a few vendors that have the 18350 E'fest name brand clear cases that actually snap very tightly closed, unlike those generic batteries cases that couldn't keep a toothpick safe inside of them. I don't recommend keeping batteries in your pocket either...bad idea.

Safe location for any and all batteries.....Dry, room temperature(or around there), free of shaking or impact, no humidity, etc..... Once again and always..

....MAKE SAFE GOOD DECISIONS WHEN DEALING WITH BATTERIES...NO SHORTCUTS....NO need to have a bad day if you don't absolutely have to....right?

Ok roto...we need to talk a bit further I think. I've been trying to upload my scope readings and data that spent hours and hours on for this thread and after converting...trying every format...and every cheat I know (as I do work for HP as a feild tech) It still (ecf) will NOT let me upload my data. What gives ? How bout a PM when you get some time with a "quick" reference as to what your using, program wise, conversion method/format, parameter settings etc... Thanks brotha.

Also...the wick you sent me...do you use that as a whole or separated down to threads ? For the life of me I can't get this thing to produce anything remotely close to a juice flavor. Probably just me tho. Any hints would also be appreciated.

Wow...this is a sad day...usually I'm the 1 answering the questions and helping people.....now I'm the one that's stumped asking for help.....Owell, even a 6'6" 275lb. man has to admit he needs help with something every now and then....I guess. lol
