Received my Southern Classic today and although I knew it would need some "rest" time, ya know I had to sample it!! Just a few drops in a dripper and I can already tell this is going to be another Halo favorite of mine! (Got a small sample of Voodoo too - ;) - it can just sit by the 30ml bottle I already have until it's ready!)

I think I need a bigger Halo Drawer - I did finish off one bottle of Turkish Tobacco today, and one of the Torque56 a few days ago. Still have two new bottles of them with the seals still on though!

The daughter taste sampled the Southern and I saw the "oh yeah" look on her face! :D

Will put the Southern back in the back of the drawer and let it meld a little more!

How long do the offers for free samples generally last for? I actually made an order Sunday, one day before it was released, which really sucked. Did get another 10ml of Voodoo, but I'm not that big of a fan and really wished I had waited one more day so that I could have tried the new flavor. Unfortunately made a purchase of over $75 (bought the Triton which completely blew me away, love it!) so I probably won't be buying anything for a while since I'm lacking funds right now. :( Don't want to miss out on getting the sample though!

I can't remember exactly, but it seems like they were giving the Voodoo away for quite a while. (a couple of weeks at least)

Well, these are brand new juices, fresh from every angle. STEEPING is required, and in some cases, longer than the 24-48 hour HALO normally suggests.

DAY 3 is even better than Day 2 for me. Sometimes, it's more like an orange creamsicle.

Oh no -- it's the VOODOO affect!

I had to test mine again today, just a few drops - and you are right, it has changed already! I taste a little more of the citrus notes (not really orange creamsicle for me :D) but definitely more citrus and more mellowing of the flavors. The clove is there but more like a "highlight" and I am tasting more of the vanilla than I did yesterday.

Yep - definitely needs more time - but I can already tell it will be something I will want more of!

You could buy a backup bottle of your favorite juice for $20 and get a free sample. The juices have a shelf life of about a year, so it's not like the extra bottle will go to waste.

Or if the free sample period is up when you need more juice, Southern Classic will be available in 7ml bottles for about $6, so it's not like it was a huge financial waste if you don't like it.

I see a bigger drawer in your future, or perhaps a trunk? :D

Inhalation technique variations bring out different flavors when using the Triton Tanks system. A long drag tastes different than short, slow drags; firing a few seconds beforehand brings out different flavors, etc. Short stunted puffs bring different nuances.

Yes, things to do with set voltage devices :)

We got ourselves a Triton puff pro!

Hah! But really, you're right. I've been learning said tricks to enjoy different juices!

I don't know what I'm tasting but unfortunately, I'm not really caring for Southern Classic. :(

I'm letting it steep some more to see if it mellows. It has a strong flavour that reminds me of something I can't put my finger on, but it's not really to my liking. Torque 56 comes with a really strong "perfume" flavour, but it goes away after a time. I like Torque 56, just not fresh. Hopefully, Southern Classic is the same.

So for now, Southern Classic is steeping.

I just received a bottle of Southern Classic, the initial taste and smell to me is reminiscent of cough medicine. I will be letting this steep for quite a while before giving any real thoughts on it.

You better keep that 'cough medicine' steeping, you don't want to have a premature Vaporgasm !!:laugh:

Has it turned around for you yet, Bob?
