Wow, there wasn't a single review on the Halo website for it yet. So I put in my "formal review."

But Voodoo seems to be a HIT -- 24 reviews on the website already, and it's fairly young :)

And I just posted my Voodoo review moments ago! Of course it still needs to be reviewed by the Halo folks.

Still letting my Southern Classic steep a bit before diving into it.

Keep on vapin'! :vapor:

A few days of steeping has mellowed this juice alot as others stated, its taking on a clove with some light vanilla and a sweet honey taste now that its been a few days, the vapor is pretty good too. I am a really big fan of this southern classic. But i also like very mellow and light flavored e liquid, Cool mist is my favorite menthol and it is another really light flavor as well.

I hope so :)

I've been enjoying it alongside Voodoo since the day I got it.

Hi all. I've been lurking here, but haven't posted yet. Over the past week I've become a bit of a Halo fanatic. I got a Triton kit - my first "real" vape since I quit analogs and started with disposables and a cigalike kit a little over a month ago. I absolutely love my Triton and I've been vaping Tribeca (my current ADV), Voodoo, Mystic and now Southern Classic, which is a very close second to Tribeca on my favorites list.

Dunno if my taste buds are still not recovered from ~30 years of analogs, but I can't pick out individual flavor notes in my e-juices as you described in your formal review (awesome review, by the way). I do know what tastes good to me and to be honest, the first few draws of Southern Classic wasn't it. I wasn't surprised though. In my analog days it was menthol or nothing for me. Anyway, I let the Southern Classic sit uncovered for 2 days then put the cap on it for another couple days before I tried it again and when I did it was fantastic! It is so smooth and relaxing to me. I gave it 5 stars on my Halo site review and it earned every last one of them. I see a lot more SC in my future. :)

Greetings all...

I just tried my sample of Southern Classic and so far I am undecided on this one. It has a nice aroma and I can pick up the clove and honey notes but I am not getting the vanilla hint mentioned. I also am getting a bit of an odd medicine like aftertaste on the exhale.

I think I need to steep this another day or two before I can accurately review it. It is by no means a bad juice. I have tasted far worse out there but for now I am just not getting it.

Peace out and keep on vapin'! :vapor:

LadyPharaoh -- thanks.

And yes, that seems to be the consensus. Southern Classic definitely needs a few days after arrival to develop and bloom, and once it does, it's a very nice e-liquid. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

And thank you for stepping out from the lurking shadows to post :)

A new Numbers Game could start at any time, and that is your chance to win a free 30ml of Halo E-liquid. All you have to do is play. Check out the thread for the rules to become familiar with it.

What you've described is very close to my experience with Southern Classic too. It's getting better everyday, but definitely needs a day or two with the cap off steeping. I really liked the aroma from the get go, so it's looking more and more likes its going to end up on my favorites list. It's nice to have you with us! :)

Thanks ckmeyers! It's nice to be here.

The more I vape this, the more I like it. I was all ready to put the cap back on and hand it off to my brother on Friday, but he had to cancel on our e-juice shopping "date" at a local B&M, so I didn't see him. He's gonna have to steal it to get it away from me now!

Has it turned around for you yet, Bob?

I just put it aside for now. I'm thinking I'll let it sit for a few weeks then give it another try when I think about it. No hurry. I'm too obsessed with Shamrock, Tiki Juice, Tribeca, and Voodoo right now to have room to really worry about another juice! :p

Both Southern Classic and Voodoo have exceptional vapor production. It had me sort of wondering if perhaps Halo mixed up the Pg/VG ratio a little bit. All I know is that it's nice :)

The flavor is nice, too. I've been vaping it on and off for a few days and it keeps getting better. Still hard to put my finger on it, but it's really good.

My initial review... disclaimer: I've been vaping for 3 weeks and still a complete n00b when it comes to flavor profiles and the like. That being said I started with Halo and the G6, love the Tribeca. It's my ADV, VooDoo is 2nd place. I was excited to try Southern Classic, but I had to wait. Like many of you it needed time to steep. I received it on the 12th and immediately shook it up and took the top off. Left the top off for 2 days and kept shaking it whenever I was in the kitchen. (top of the fridge is my steeping shelf). Put the cap on yesterday morning and let it go until I got home from work.

After dinner I finally loaded up a mini tank and a fresh G6 batt... didn't like it at all! I really can't describe what I was tasting, I just know I wasn't a fan of it. Right now I'm in that mode where, to me, something isn't right, but I can't put my finger on it.

That being said, and re-reading the reviews, I'm going to take the cap back off and let it go a little longer. I'll try again next week and see what I come up with.

Don't everyone start laughing at once, but I'm confused:facepalm: (again)
Received my Southern Classic sample yesterday (THANKS CINDER, with everything going on at the Vegas show, glad you remembered)
Like many here, opened the bottle and it smelled like Old Lady Perfume on a 12 hour casino bender. Believe me, that's worse than gambling next to a smoker!!!
So, if I understand this steeping correctly, Halo mixes a big batch of juice and steeps it a (secret) certain amount of days/weeks until they think it's ready. This time varies by flavor. Then they bottle it and ship it to us. So if it's steeped days/weeks by Halo why is it that one or two more days can make such a difference?

No worries Mike! One or two days of steeping in a 30mL bottle is similar to one or two weeks in our much larger volumes. It seems this one is going over much better after a day or two of steeping in the 30mL size. I have made our lab aware of this preference, though I'm sure there is a reasoning as to why our large batches were steeped whatever the length of time they were and not a week or two more.
