So I've been doing my own batches for about a month now and I love making juice! Thanks to all the help Ive gotten on here, its been a great learning experience. But I have noticed one thing that I can't seem to figure out.

The throat hit I get out of my juice isn't as smooth as the juices I've bought. Im comparing the hit to Uncle Junk's right now, the mix is 70 pg and 30 vg with 12 mg of nicotine.

I'm making mine exactly the same, 70/30 with 12 mg of nic but the TH is a little rougher and the juice is just not as smooth as the other stuff.

I know it would be hard for some one to say "oh its because you didn't do this" but maybe you guys/girls can point me in the direction of what I should look at!

You need to determine if it's your base thats harsh or the flavor your using. Try vaping just the base with no flavor added and see if you get the harshness. If not then it could be the flavoring causing it. If the base is harsh with no flavor added try adding more VG let say 60pg/40vg see if that reduces it. If there still is no difference try reducing the nic (Could be a harsh batch of nicotine) and see if that helps.

Also you mentioned your juices are freshly made. Did you let them steep. Freshly made juice need time to mature and mellow.

Tobaccos need 2 - 4 weeks
fruits and candies need 3 - 4 days
Creams, Caramels, vanillas mixed into fruit 2 - 3 weeks if mixed into tobacco 4 - 5 weeks.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to let everything steep for a bit and see what happens!

Where do you get your nic from? I want to find the best supplier for this, all I've used is the diyflavorshack stuff, was wondering if anything else out there was better?
