smy tc 50 problems

hi all just got my self a smy tc50 last month....was great step up for me from using the ego pen style....now the problem is the box mod does not cannot go above 10watts even after a full charge battery...any ideas? I have replaced the battery with a new one from LG yey still problem occurs...im charging via external charger as the usb charging broke inside...really lost now...

How many watts is it SUPPOSED to be able to go before cut off. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with that unit. However if it is SUPPOSED to go higher than ten watts and is cutting you off at ten, then I would. contact the company you purchased it from IMMEDIATELY. Explain what is happening with your unit and hopefully they will replace the unit free of charge. If it is a fairly New unit, you SHOULDN'T have any trouble getting them to replace it. Even if the manufacturer does not have a good warentee on this product usually if it's new or fairly new MOST companies would NOT have a problem issuing you a new unit. Hope this helps.There are really only two things to do in this case, 1. request replacement from the manufacturer, 2. request replacement from the company you purchased it from. I personally would try the company you purchased the unit from first. That said in the senerio it is a older unit, you likely will have to cut your losses and purchase a new one yourself. the SMY TC 50 is a regulated device therefore it should not be effected by battery voltage drop effect, however which model of battery are you using? - could you please give us more details? which tank, coil (material, resistance) are you using? in which mode are you experiencing the issue?

hi thnx for the input...guess ill just get back to the manufaturer.....btw im using 26ga kanthal at .55ohm kanger subtank mini....batteru comes with the box mod....my best guess is LG 18650 25A

I am sorry to hear that you bought an SMY 50TC and are having difficulties with it.

Just to be clear, while you are in Wattage mode the UP/DOWN buttons should change the wattage setting - does the "UP" button not work? (stuck at 10W) If you press the center button a menu ought to be displayed on the screen - does the up/down buttons work in the menu?

hi....yah the watts stop at 15watts for full charge batt and den it will slowly reduce to 9watts when the battery starys to be at 1/3full

Sounds like just maybe the battery is going bad/OR the unit is NOT receiving a full and total charge. if your wattage is solely controlled by your battery, then likely that is where your issues are lieing.
