So I've been moving my leg through as normal-looking of a gait as possible while still using both crutches... I think things are looking good because my knee doesn't feel all crooked when I put my foot down.

Tread lightly--I'm grouchy today. My DD was involved in a car accident--she's fine, the car is not... Luckily, she was not at fault, so the insurance (the other guy's insurance) is paying for the repairs.
