We're all waiting with baited breath for your story Bear.

Nothing super-major... just a lesson for me to stay IN THE KITCHEN (where I belong) during dinner prep.


Potatoes in pot, turn on burner.
Take picture of foil.
Go into the office to download from camera, upload to Photobucket, post here with commentary.
Stick around for a few more posts.
Hear "beep beep beep" thinking it's a timer. Kind of ignore.
Find out it's the smoke detector (starch water on a burner = smoke).
Security system says "HEY! I've been beeping for 45 seconds. This must be bad!"
System switches to "Fire Alarm" mode... horns inside and siren and twirling orange light outside.
Pot foaming over, smoke, and trying to remember "ignore" code on control panel (so the fire department is not summoned).
Phone rings (still trying to turn off alarm)... security company calling to find out what's up.
Finally silenced... then a big clean-up of water, burnt starch foam, etc.
The End.

You...you must be retired or don't have to go anywhere or do anything. No one, in their right mind, likes snow cept retired people and skiers/snowboarders.

I wish I could retire every day Don't really have anywhere to go, 'cept work . Don't ski or snowboard. Just love winter and snow .

Well...I'm getting close to retirement. I'm training the person who will, presumably, take over my position. Course...that's gonna take three years to do.

I'll agree...snow IS pretty. But...I sure hate it. Means I have to take the truck rather than the motorcycle and THAT cost me up the wazoo in gas money.

... rescheduled eye doc from Friday (forecast -5 and "plowable snow" ... who needs THAT?!).
... called two upholstery cleaners... chose one and will take 2 chairs at a time to be salvaged in a couple weeks.
... decided no ducks or geese today due to snow and cold
... gotta get ready to go to Dad's
... pre-paid lawn service (fertilizer, grub stuff, weed control, Spring core aeration)
... played some Bingo Blitz.
