Update on hemp: I'd soaked a couple cottonballs worth of hemp in oxiclean for about 24hours. Rinsed with filtered water then distilled water. Boiled in distilled water then rinsed with same, 3 different times for a total of an hour or so. (Note to self - "groom" hemp like a baboon before getting it wet!) I got all impatient and finished drying half of the clump with a hairdryer.
Hemp's not the best stuff to use for a nano coil - ugh. But it's working and I don't seem to be getting any weird flavors. While trying to untangle a clump, I found myself sneezing...hopefully I'm not allergic to the stuff!

We have reached 20 degrees which is 5 degrees warmer than the forecast for today.

Not to mention the fact that they can be more than a little destructive to houses. They're rats with fuzzy tails! Our weather is taking another turn for the worse this weekend. Snow...sleet...temps far below zero. It sucks.
