Gosh, Fran...these days anything above zero almost counts as a warm front...
No kidding,CES. Our temps are so far below norm and this deep freeze really sucks.
down here it's the weather swings that are so perplexing
70 yesterday, projected low for tonight 8 .......... atm 40 and dropping as the front gets closer. with luck i make my appointment at 11 before the deep freeze sets in

around here i think we're all in good shape except for dil whose shift today runs from 3pm to 9pm. there might be another overnight stay at the vet's in the cards for her

We're @ 5°F here. Just my luck that we get snow right before I'm supposed to start driving again. When I got home from celebrating my friend's birthday Sat. night, I slid a good foot to foot and a half on the "black ice" covering my driveway...and that was with the crutches down - unbalanced tripod slide!
Luckily, I was able to awkwardly make my way onto the frozen grass, saving my derriere from a potentially nasty fall. WHEW
So, whomever inherits this crap weather in the next day or two...be careful (for the umpteenth time this season)!!!
