Hurricanes and tornadoes are a whole 'nother story. I've never understood the people who stand outside watching the tornado come....

Those are the ones that
A) know the path and/or can run for cover if they spot it far away enough.
B) Have no idea that more funnels can form
C) Don't understand that F=MA
D) Like flying glass, sand, etc.

To be fair...I know of people that go through AFTER the tornado. I stay out of the way unless I can help.

This is the south, so (A) is the least likely

I hunker down until it's safe. I'm a chicken.

How was your Dad?

He seemed OK. He's seeing his MD today re: sciatica. He's been trying to nurse it with a battery of pain meds, but nothing is working reliably. I left him some naproxen to take last night and this morning. I'm hoping he is referred to a(ny) pain management doc. I'll take him to the guy I saw in '05 and '09. Problem is: wait time for appointment.

He thought I was relying on him to take me to the oral surgeon Friday AM... so he was relieved I have a different person in place for the dastardly deed. And I'm really really really "blue" thinking about it. :( Been popping a pill now and then trying ward off the anxiety.

I just went to feed the kitties across the street. Across the half inch of ice covering the street. The actual feral was there, not the lying calicos (they're inside i'm sure). But i ended up setting out some dog food too. One of the free range dogs i'd seen before was being trailed by two fat puppies (awww, puppies). I really hope they have a home to go to. It's gonna be a problem if they don't. A colony of cats is one thing- but a pack of dogs is not good.

    Good Morning Tibby!

Hi Snails! ~~~ (not sure who is left)

CES, that's a tough situation with the feral dogs ... you'd like to have the pups socialized while still young yet animal control would likely grab the mother too and her chances of getting adopted are slim, unlike the pups. It just stinks ... :(
