Doesn't that make it a laptop? No... seriously.
I'm thinking a laptop MAY be my best option should I need (???) a portable "computing" device. But, I'd still need a mouse. At work (over time), I had one laptop with the little red sandpaper-coated chicklet pointing thing and two with a touchpad. I could never - ever - use either one efficiently. So I always had a mouse tethered to it for meetings and such.
So, yeah.
Forecast: Next Wednesday = 9 degrees, Thursday = 8 degrees. Mom Nature can just bite me.
... and when in my office, the laptop went into a docking station so I could use a full-size keyboard and have a full-size monitor.

if that's what you are looking for a laptop will be your best bet. but forget about a wired mouse

Same as a regular mouse. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard for my desktop.

I just use the trackpad with my laptop, but my trackpad is the new kind that supports multi-touch. It was a little frustrating to learn, but now I like it very much
They are laser mice. Most are these days. They just replace the wire with bluetooth. Handy...and low range.
Some laptops have a removable keyboard...and become the Bear-hated tablet. They are, of course, touch screens too. The Windows one does that, for example.

How did you like the "My Posts" thing Stone? That's what I use. Tells me who replied to any threads I've been posting in. So I can keep track of what's going on....at least for the 1st page worth.
