A friend sent me a FB message saying:
"Yesterday I got a letter from the NYS Dept of Cigarette Taxation. They have determined I owe them money due to ordering cigarettes online in 2008-09.....over $1200.....holes."

If it were me, I'd just ignore it. And it could very well be me/us... we ordered online for many years until New York put the skids on tobacco transport via USPS/USP/FedEx et al. I said he should research the "validity" of their demand. Many would just pay up out of fright... but he needs to really check it out. I'll report here as details evolve.

Yep. Whole bottom 1/2 of state has been having issues with power the last 2 days after some nasty squalls. Guess I've been lucky overall.
