Instead of a memory stick (which gets pricey fast)....they make external hard drives, very often used as backup drives. They have, say, a Terra-byte of storage (1000 GB) on them and are attached by USB and sell for about $100.00. Just don't move em around when they are "on".

The memory stick (USB Flash Drive) is a more-robust choice...but a lot more expensive for a decent capacity.

Of course, since you're just backing up your "old" system, you can probably just get a smaller drive, not worry about speed, and when done....just have a spare flash drive around. That works too.

Kinda all depends on your answer to the questions: "What happens to the flash drive when all this is over? How will I back up my NEW system?"

Speaking from experience, putting a protank on a mech mod is like putting Helen Keller in an indy car.

Really? Whether it's a mech, Provari, eGo or whatever - it's still just a source of electricity for the atomizer.

can ya hear what I'm thinking?

Not saying it wouldn't work, just not being utilized to anywhere near it's potential.

What is the great thing about mechanical mods? In my mind they are still a step backward in ecig evolution; you're vaping directly off a battery

You don't HAVE to sub-ohm with a mech, just because it's a mech.
I wouldn't go below 1.3 ohms with a pt at 4.2v it's just not built for it.
For best results i would say 1.5ohms and replace batteries when it starts getting weak.

Agreed. But that is the primary argument for a mech.
