Bear, I'm glad that you're supporting the cat shelters and the lady who is doing an incredible amount of rescue work. I hope it works out well with the puppies she is rescuing.

I hope this fund raiser ends up being a COMPLETE success beyond all expectations. No idea at all how it's being advertised, promoted or whatever. It would be crushing if only a handful of people showed up.

I do not have any "connections". HOWEVER.. I could just send eMail to the four local TV channels with various links and see if they run with it. I did make a brief comment in her blog asking if somebody was thinking about it or doing it. I know she has quite a few "loyaler" followers than myself.

She does it ALL on her own dime and time. Trapping, spay/neuter, feeding, vet visits, euthanasia if need be, fostering, finding foster home...

There's a local lady that got me roped into taking care of a set of strays around here several years ago. i don't think my local lady is nearly as organized. Good idea to contact the local media

(Only one of the local ferals remains- others got homes and all were fixed, so there haven't been any new sets of kittens for quite some time)
