not so fast, bear!this last operation was touch and go to fix an error in the previous one. success rate at just 50% to keep a normal gait. in mad's place i would adhere strictly to whatever guide lines are given. your dad was lucky but why take chances? it's not a matter of feeling up to it but encountering unforeseen circumstances. how would your dad have fared if the airbag had engaged?
I followed all instructions after shoulder surgery and still had complications...I don't know what that means other than we all heal differently and respond differently to those stresses. Good luck Mad!!!
If Mad feels - deep down - that it would be dangerous, then I'm sure he would/will not disregard instruction.
