Speaking of weather; anyone know where in SoCal Kat is located? See news about mudslides and floods. But it's a few towns (1000's cut off, not 10's of 1000's)...

tweety is definitely not in the mountains (san bernadino) but fingers crossed she did end up with some rain from that system as it moved toward the coast!
i finally dug out stoney's email this morning. let's see if that gets an answer

Morning all. Gonna be a Busy Week From Hell, so not too much time to spend 'net-ing.
The fundraiser went well, I guess. That will be up to the Crazy Cat Lady to judge. But, I'd say there were around 250 people. I have no idea if everyone "registered" (at $10 each)... or if proceeds from the "cash bar" were all donated (or the hot food that came with the $10 donation). There were 50 "silent auction" gift baskets ($1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 7 tickets, $10 for 16 tickets). Some guy did a matching money grab that netted her $400. There was a decent-size pile of canned and bagged cat food. So - all in all - she snagged quite a bit. But when you figure she spends (so she says) $16K-$18K a year out of her own pocket, the event gave her a few months breathing room. If I see anything online, I'll put a link here.
Off to start "stuff"!
