Well, uh, yeah she did!!! She broke
through in the '75 opus:
Banned on many many radio stations, she ... ummm ... hmmm ... "simulates" you-know-what 22+ times (depending on your definition). I personally don't consider THAT particular tune as "disco", much much too slow. But the 5 or 6 LPs that followed were pure disco. Then she left Casablanca Records and went more "mainstream", but still had dozens of club-chart-toppers until her death.
