When I first started working in theater, I got a job with show that toured through the country. It was a great way to see the US, but only when you're young and dumb????????????

We traveled town to town by bus, but would spend many nights in cheap hotels. There are too many memories to reminisce here, but here's a couple.... We stayed in the safest hotel in Wichita, Kansas. It was the safest because they served free coffee to the cops 24 hours a day. Every fast food restaurant in eyesight of the hotel had at least one bullet hole in it.
In Memphis, we stayed at the hotel closest to the Riverboat Casinos. That hotel had patterned carpets that clashed with the patterned bedding that clashed with the patterned curtains...I've heard that hotels use the patterns so that stains don't show
