Well, that was fun! Brrrrrrr Brrrrrrr Brrrrrr!
Did I mention it was cold?
My friend may end up wishing he had reconsidered his decision ... he might have a bent axle or something along those lines as his truck wasn't tracking right once we got it out. I'm hoping it isn't anything major but he definitely did a number on it. I ended up following him just to make sure he got home okay and then he wanted me to stay and have a few beers with him!
Really? You want me to drink and then drive home on icy roads??

I declined the beer but I did take his wife up on her offer of a bowl of chili!!! I hadn't eaten since breakfast and I was freezing so it was the perfect panacea. I also tried to adopt their puppy ( lab/pit mix, and so cute! ) but they wouldn't go for it.
I got home with no difficulty but as I was getting out my truck I saw this streak fly by me out of the corner of my eye. At first I had no idea what it was other than an animal so I was a little wary; we have bear, fox, coyote and the like around here so I felt it would be prudent to be careful. Nah, it was just my neighbor's dog who had gotten loose and was running around with the leash dangling behind her which seemingly just prodded her on even more! I wound up helping corral her in what turned out to be even more fun than pulling my friend's truck out the ditch. That dog was fast and just having the time of her life playing catch me if you can!
Now I'm thoroughly bushed ... I'll definitely sleep well tonight!
Good Night Snails!
