It was a hard choice in deciding what brew I would consume this evening. It was between Dogfish Head's Burton Baton and Palo Santo Marron.
For Burton Baton Dogfish brews two "threads," or batches, of beer: an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. After fermentating the beers separately in our stainless tanks, they're transferred and blended together in one of our large oak tanks. Burton Baton sits on the wood for about a month. When enjoying the Burton Baton, you'll find an awesome blend of the citrus notes from Northwestern hops melding with woody, vanilla notes from the oak. The wood also tends to mellow the 10% ABV of Burton, so tread cautiously!
Palo Santo Marron is an unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree," and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities. This highly roasty and malty brown ale clocks in at 12% ABV.
I chose the Burton Baton. Palo Santo Marron was just too high in alcohol content at 12%. The Burton Baton should be no problem at 10%.![]()

50 years ago there was an invasion. Where and by whom?

Just checked; my Vamo V5 from FT is listed as being delivered ....Ordered it on Jan 11; not too bad - 4 weeks with CNY in the middle of it.
Hello kids--jumping in, feet first, haven't read back... Sorry.
Saw this annoucement in NM and I'm a bit confused... Does he not want us to help in the NM? How do you read it? I've noticed that some of the vets who used to post there have retreated--others still contribute. Any ideas?
Tibs, how's the jaw?
