That looks like a big fat mess...I'm glad he got home safely

...........but YIKES for more abandoned cars out on the roads..............

especially that yellow corvette!

i keep telling him the main thing is he's home safe - dil is stranded at the animal hospital and will spend the night there!

lol - this is gonna be something else - started snowing here 2 hrs ago and already 3 inches ...........

the boy is finally home - he left at 1pm, half an hour after it started snowing, which was too late. got stuck going up a hill with cars in front of and behind him and no other choice but to start walking. luckily, he was picked up by a mexican lady about a third into his journey and 2 hours later they had made it the 5 miles to his house ..........

Wow, Tibs...that looks like a real mess (and eerily familiar). Glad the boy made it safely, and that DIL is safe and warm, if not home.

A Corvette is one of the last cars I would drive in the snow

She'll have lots of warm fuzzies to spend the night with

he said there were 4-wheel trucks ahead of him on that hill that couldn't make it either but in general, yes, a corvette is no snow transportation

dil, i think, thought spending the night was much preferable to making her way home

i think the problem in raleigh was not the snow so much but the freezing fog that came with it ...............

Is it a front-wheel drive, or a rear-wheel drive? The Corvette is RWD, and generates enough horsepower that it can be difficult to modulate the power in low revs....add the low profile tires that most people put on a sports car, and it can add up to a very ineffective snow mobile

don't ask me, frannie - but that's the official description from the national weather service. and since fog envelopes everything a freezing fog gotta make roads slick as heck ..............
