The ice is off the eves just in time. The ice on the bedroom roof was starting to back up.
Never a good thing. But not all that much to avoid it. I saw a roofline yesterday with that zig-zag heating wire... and there was ice all around it except for the zig-zag. But, "they" say as long as runoff has even the smallest channel OFF the roof, that's good. But that causes icicles and - if large enough - they'll rip your gutters off. So... the bottom of the zig-zag should lead right into the gutter.
Hope to see and feed the ducks and geese today on the way to my Dad's. It's been many weeks since I last stopped. The road leading down to the pond is simply too risky if it's snow/ice covered. Steep and winding. Even though it's 47, that's no guarantee the road will be clear... one day is (maybe) not enough.
